Poems about eating hot pot and drinking.

"When * * * cuts the candle at the west window, it talks about the rain at night."

Notes for Friends in the North on a Rainy Night is a lyric quatrain written by Li Shangyin, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, to his wife (or friend) in Chang 'an and a foreign land in Bashu. It is the poet's reply to each other. The first two sentences of this poem, with questions and answers and descriptions of the immediate environment, illustrate the lonely feelings and deep nostalgia for his wife. The last two sentences imagine the joy of meeting again in the future and compare with the loneliness tonight.

Li Shangyin, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, was an excellent writer of love poems. This poem was written when he came to Chongqing. The abbreviation of Chongqing is "Ba". Chongqing is also the capital of hot pot. It's perfect to eat hot pot and drink homesick poems with these two sentences. It's still a bit more emotional in the drizzle.

The whole poem is as follows:

A short message to a friend in the north on a rainy night-Li Shangyin

You asked me when I would be back-I don't know yet.

I dreamed that your mountain and autumn pond were raining all night.

* * * When do you cut the western window candle?

When will I hear your voice again, all night in the rain?
