The rumour maker will be cast aside after the rumor is exposed. If you do harm, you will be condemned by morality and conscience, and you will lose public trust.

If the rumormonger had known, would he have slandered? If people can be more rational, don't listen to stories, or even listen directly, will it make rumors meaningless?

Rumors stop with wise men, and it is wisdom and foresight to stay away from rumors.
