Downstairs of the company is Regan Noodles Hutong.

From Dongsi South Street in the west to Chaoyangmen South Street in the east. If you walk, it takes about twenty minutes from east to west.

There is no accurate explanation about the origin of the name "Regan Noodles Hutong". The widely circulated legend is that during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the grain convoys that sailed to Lumicang every year came from the west, with horses and chariots neighing and the dust flying behind them, which was called "dry noodles in summer". So the west entrance of Lumicang Hutong is called Regan Noodles Hutong.

In fact, it has been analyzed that the grain convoy bound for Rumicang is unlikely to go further than South Street and bypass Dongsi South Street.

Noodles Hutong is divided into two parts. The Hutong to the east of Li Xiang Hotel still remains, and only the Hutong to the west of the hotel still retains its name.

This is the intersection of the east half of Li Xiang Hotel. Going west, indeed, the hutong is straight and wide.

I haven't been to the hutongs in Beijing on purpose, so I don't know what other hutongs are like. Noodles Hutong has offices and factories, and the building is not a courtyard bungalow.
