Skating is real ice; Skating is fake ice. Skating, also known as roller skating, used to be an auxiliary training project of skating.

Now, roller skating is no longer a patent for teenagers, but has become a popular leisure sport of all ages, which has not only the elements of fitness, but also the connotation of freedom and individuality. Roller skates are divided into single roller skates and double roller skates. What's the difference between them? How should beginners choose? In this regard, the reporter interviewed Ke Jiming, a national coach.

Ke Jiming said that quad roller skating is the mother of roller skating. Roller skating was developed on the basis of quad roller skating. It was originally an auxiliary training program for speed skating. In contrast, roller skates are fast, so extreme sports and speed skating have been greatly developed. At present, double-row roller skates are more used as pattern shoes.

Coach Ke Jiming introduced that double-row skates have advantages in terms of whether beginners can stand still, especially when the left and right feet slide alternately, it is easier to master the balance. But if you want to improve your skills and skate well, it is more difficult for quad roller skating. This is because there are four sliding tracks of double-row roller skates, and it is more complicated for people to master the balance of their bodies. And the wheels of roller skates are in a line, so it is relatively simple to master the technology. Generally speaking, it is not a problem for people who can skate in tandem to skate in tandem, but people who can skate in tandem may not be able to handle it.

In addition, although roller skating is faster, its flexibility is not as good as that of quad roller skating, who is more likely to do some difficult tricks. At present, the formal figure skating competitions and associations in the world all use double-row skates.

In view of the declining age of roller skaters, Ke Jiming reminded parents that children under 7 should not learn roller skating. Because roller skating requires the legs to be turned outwards, the bones of children under 7 years old are not yet mature, which easily leads to X-shaped legs, but it is possible to learn from quad roller skating.
