Why do you have to go to Yunnan once?

Before answering this question, I want to say something about my feelings. Sun Mian, editor-in-chief of New Weekly, said, "I fled from Beishangguang and returned to Yunnan." I didn't understand it at first. There are so many places in China that we can go back. How can it be Yunnan? It was not until recently that my friends and I went to Yunnan that I really understood why I must go to Yunnan once in my life.

In the impression of most people who have never been to Yunnan, Yunnan is a very vague concept.

But when it comes to Lijiang and Dali, people seem to be more enthusiastic. When these two places began to fall, Yunnan was almost equivalent to Lijiang and Dali in the minds of outsiders. I really feel wronged for Yunnan, obviously there are so many good qualities here that we should see.

Nature in Yunnan

When doing the raiders, I found that Yunnan is very rich in natural resources, and any crops planted in the water and mountains can grow. Not only that, its natural resources are full of magical colors. I once saw an interview with Luo Xu, a Yunnan artist (by the way, Luo Xu's personal experience is legendary, so I won't say much here. If you are interested, you can search it). He said that Yunnan is a magical place, because there is a rare plateau water system in the world, and it is a karst landform. The karst landform was originally a drop of water, which can't be closed, but it has become a plateau lake, just like Dianchi Lake, which is 500 miles vast and is known as the pearl of Yunnan Plateau. So when we screened the screen in Cangshan Erhai Lake, we chose Dianchi Lake as the first stop. As it turns out, we didn't make a mistake. Dianchi Lake is really beautiful and vast.

After talking about the natural environment, let me talk about people living in this environment. I think it is precisely because nature has endowed this land with rich resources that Yunnan people have developed their laziness and stupidity. The biggest feeling after going to Yunnan this time is that if Chengdu is a slow city, then Yunnan is a lazy place.

These lazy Yunnan people taught me a sentence called "live as you please", which means you can be as comfortable as you want. I think this sentence can completely summarize the essence of Yunnan spirit I felt during my trip to Yunnan. They have no worries about food and clothing, and their material desires are not so strong, but they devote more time and energy to the exploration of the spiritual world. Its art, poetry and music show all the beauty that can grow in a free and inclusive land.

After I came back, I kept telling my friends that I must go to Yunnan once. This is in sharp contrast to our busy commuting and performance appraisal life. You can really draw a lot of energy there. The whole person's state is completely different, and all the troubles and trivialities have been emptied. I feel like I was a child again, walking barefoot in the mud and watching ants for an afternoon. If I have to recommend a place I must go, I will definitely recommend Yunnan. In Yunnan, you will find yourself and find another way to get along with the world.
