[Why can't the secretary stay after reading it? Maybe I just didn't do it]

Small order

I chatted with Linxi yesterday, talked about reading and wrote reading notes. At the classic teacher's personal development reading meeting, I mentioned a method of reading notes that everyone is practicing: think hard and write SS cards. Linxi asked me if I wanted to share it in the group, and I agreed happily. I think this is very valuable for me and my friends. Sharing itself is happiness.

main body

In the fourth quarter of Chapter 5 of Cognitive Awakening, which we are reading, a passage touched me. Many readers and I will say that after reading a book, we should systematically sort out the author's knowledge framework, write reading notes, extract the essence and draw mind maps. It seems that only by doing so can we show that we have read a book carefully. Do you feel the same way and see your own shadow?

This is another example. We often hear such conversations, which come from stories told by classical teachers during live broadcast.

Ask the interviewer:

Tell me about your hobbies.

Well, I like reading.

What books do you like to read?

I like reading XXXXX's books.

What is this book about?

The interviewer scratched his head and said shyly, "Goose, long time no see, I forgot."

I saw my own shadow again.

1.

Then we read a lot of books and forgot when we closed them. At that time, the guide map we drew or the notes we made felt very clear and we learned a lot. When we tell others about them, most people often say nothing. There are many articles or videos about how to read, how to learn efficiently and so on.

Today I want to share an effective method that I am using, that is, knowledge card. What is a knowledge card? It has a specific name called "Good Thinking Writing Card", abbreviated as SS Card, which is the spelling initials of good thinking. According to my own understanding, I define it as the process of internalizing knowledge from input to output by combining the points contacted in books and personal experiences.

Then when you mention the SS card, you must mention another person. Niklas Luhmann, a sociologist from Germany. He wrote 90,000 knowledge cards and published 58 books in his life. Luhmann is generally regarded as a sociologist, but he has made unique contributions in law, economy, art and psychology. He is like a lighthouse, constantly sending out flashing thoughts. The volume of works and the wide range of radiation are amazing. How much energy is hidden in his brain? And this secret is probably hidden in the wooden box that has accompanied him for more than 30 years. Then, if you are interested, you can search the relevant content online.

All right, back to our SS card. What does that SS card include? It consists of four parts.

Excerpts from the original text

Core concept report

Personal experience

guide to action

Let's talk about it one by one.

First, extract the original text,

This is very simple, that is, the literal meaning is in the fourth quarter of Chapter 5 of Cognitive Awakening. Zhou Ling, the author, admits that she has never drawn a mind map and will not deliberately sort out the knowledge framework. When reading, the only thing he does is to find contact points. Our original excerpt here is the same as what Zhou Ling said, that is, an excerpt that touched you.

The second part is the core concept report.

Referred to as my paraphrase, it is to paraphrase those words that touched you in your own words. The advantage of doing this is that, on the one hand, it deepens the understanding of the content and strengthens the singing skills of * * *, on the other hand, it also unconsciously exercises its summing-up ability. Because there is still a touching passage, we can't remember the original text clearly. It is relatively easy to report it in your own words and tell it to others later. The next time someone asks you what this book is about, it may not be so difficult to say it.

The third part focuses on personal experience.

There is a connection in the third quarter of the fifth chapter of Cognitive Awakening, and the master's "black box" illustrates the importance of connection in detail. No contact, no study. At the same time, the author also quoted the contents of Zhao's book "Reading in this way is enough".

In fact, these three steps are the framework of thinking and writing SS cards that I just mentioned, including Luo Zhenyu's "sewing buttons" and sewing knowledge. Interesting, isn't it? The more you look at it, the more you find that these authors or awesome people often say the same thing. Then we should pay attention to it when we find it and learn to apply it.

What is lacking in today's society is neither knowledge nor methodology. What is lacking is the ability of individuals to link themselves with the methodology summarized by predecessors, apply them constantly, master them skillfully, and form their own knowledge system. So smart, did you find it? We will use good methods.

Let's go back to personal experience. What do you mean? When you see a passage in a book that touches you greatly, there may be two situations.

One is that I% pw (later helped me turn it off, or took the initiative to block everyone's ears). It turns out that I have been doing something wrong. You will find an old knowledge about yourself and gain a new knowledge.

The other is, wow, the same frequency response. That's what I did, but I didn't know what I did had a professional name. I'm fine. I'm fine.

There may be a third situation, that is, alas, I feel a little contradictory when the author says that and the author says that. It doesn't matter if this happens, it is often when you have a big picture. Because you have seen enough, you have seen the opinions of different writers, psychologists, philosophers and so on. You have your own judgment, but you don't know. There are several voices colliding in your head. This sense of doubt and contradiction may be temporary, and you will soon find that they are actually different systems and are not contradictory at all. It may bother you for a long time, but it doesn't matter, you are still making progress. With this sense of contradiction, move on, and there will always be a time to solve the puzzle.

With this personal experience, don't let go, write it down. Personal experience is the best. It is your experience. Whether you write well or not, you can write. Just tell a story. This personal experience can also be the story of your friend happening around you. You can immediately think of stories in daily life.

Well, personal experience is over. I believe every partner knows how to write the last part, which is more important in my opinion. This is a guide to action.

If writing cards is compared to the growth process of a fruit tree (a mini fast-growing small fruit tree), when you see a sentence in the book and touch yourself, your brain will quickly link to your own personal experience, and you may have an idea, which is the process of rooting and sprouting.

Starting to extract the original text, retelling and writing personal experiences is to spread the branches and leaves.

Writing down the action guide is the result.

What I like best is the moment when the fruit ripens and falls to the ground.

Combined with personal experience, the action guide was implemented. One card advances, one card advances, and how many cards are written, how many steps are advanced. Maybe a few cards have saved an article, or even more than n cards have written a book, then this progress is not step by step, but a leap-forward, pier by pier (imagine a little person jumping up and handing out small squares with great flexibility). There seems to be a popular little program game called Jump. This is probably the picture I want to describe.

So the action guide is what I think is the fruit. Guiding the implementation of the action, carrying it out, and letting the action land is the fruit. This fruit is yours. How many cards you write, how many action guides you have, and how many times you execute them, there will be many fruits. When you have enough fruit, it is not bad to open a fruit shop. It can also be processed into various products, hahahaha. These are all later stories. Are you ready? Do you want to grow your own fruit trees to eat?

2. Another additional content is, I wonder if you have heard of the concept of knowledge IPO. From the third chapter "transition" online learning

An IPO is an input problem when I input a question.

P problem solving, problem solving.

O output output products

I would also like to mention an Austrian-born writer and management consultant. His name is peter drucker. I have been writing, consulting and teaching all my life. His knowledge IPO is particularly interesting. First of all, he is an adviser to several American presidents, and he is also an adviser to many enterprises. Consultation is a massive input process, and many cases are told to his students through lectures. This process is constantly integrated, and finally a book is polished. Every book is to solve a problem.

In fact, each of us can have our own IPO system. But we can't tell students like teachers. What should we do?

Write a card by the way. Input while reading, write a card and output it based on personal experience and thinking. When there are enough cards, we may be able to write a book. A few cards can be combined to write an article about the official account of WeChat, send a circle of friends and make a video. Rub your hands and look forward to it ~

3.

This is a passage from Transition.

Why is there progress of 1% every day, or is there not much progress? You must have seen this formula of "scientific inspiration": as long as you make progress 1% every day and keep iterating, you will grow 37 times a year and you will become a better yourself; On the contrary, if the landslide 1% every day, it will become slag ... This compound interest formula is simple and clear, and there is nothing wrong with it, so it is called "hard inspiration". But after one year, who really increased by 37 times, and who was as bad as 0.03 of the previous year? Why is the growth compound interest formula invalid? Because that's not how compound interest works. There are two conditions to form compound interest:? Iterate the daily income to the next growth; ? No loss of principal. On growth and compound interest, it means: the knowledge learned today will be applied to a new round of knowledge learning tomorrow; ? I can't forget it. Most people do not meet these two conditions in their studies. First of all, knowledge is unsystematic. Obviously, the concepts learned today and the contents to be learned tomorrow cannot be superimposed and do not affect each other. This year, it did not increase by 365 power, but increased by 365 0.0 1 at most, which is 3.65 times. Three times or more is good, but the problem is that you always forget what you learned a week ago and what impressed you. I think I forgot. This may finally accumulate to 1.03, and then fall back to 0.96 after one week. So after one year, it's great that you can grow by 20%. If you have been studying fragmentation, fragmentation of thinking, fragmentation system and fragmentation, you will end up in vain and draw water with a sieve.

Many times, when we are worried about finishing the secretary, we will hear such words of encouragement and comfort. It doesn't matter, although I can't remember clearly, it's like a bamboo basket full of coal. Although it is dark, the process of reading is like drawing water with a sieve. Although the bamboo basket was empty, it finally became clean. This passage naturally has its truth.

Dong Qing once said that the books you read will be integrated into your body and become your experience. It will eventually form your personal temperament and unique charm.

But we have a way to draw water from bamboo baskets and turn knowledge into our own. Why not try it? Since it has consumed time, it is more valuable.

4.

After listening to the sharing in the last paragraph, why is it clear to write a card? Next, I will talk about personal help in writing cards.

I used to be in a daze facing blank documents. What should I write in today's reading notes? I really can't think of anything that can make me finish today's reading notes as soon as possible without copying the original text. In the middle of June 5438+10, I came into contact with the knowledge card written by SS Shanxi Club. For a whole month today, I printed 22 cards, 2 1 article. In this month alone, I printed at least 35,000 words (1). I built my own cute pocket on the official account of WeChat and always dreamed of becoming a writer. I am particularly confident that I can keep writing.

Of course, not everyone loves writing, but at least the form of knowledge card can solve the problem of forgetting something after reading it, so that we can hope that we all have the ability to master words. No matter what others ask us, no matter when we want to tell others on a whim, we can write down our feelings or say them vividly. That's great. On the contrary, it is difficult to resort to words when there are pains and pleasures, but the heart is as silent as death. How humbled.

Whether you can write or not, whether you will take the road of writing in the future, at least for now, reading is your choice, so why study? How can reading help you better? How to turn the knowledge in the book into your own things to take away? Let's start by writing a knowledge card.

By the way, I almost forgot the last point. Entering cards can be a difficult process. But there is a concept called necessary difficulty. In other words, it is difficult to input and easy to extract. This 3700-word sharing article synthesizes the contents of many cards I once owned. It took me only 1.5 hours to write these more than 3,700 words. Before that, I really couldn't imagine.

My sharing is over. Thank you again for giving me this opportunity to study and discuss with you. Thank you for your trust and support, and thank you for every partner who accompanied the camp. Thanks to the classical teacher who taught me to write SS cards, I have a pair of flying wings on the road of writing. I believe that in the near future, everyone can be what they want to be.
