Shipu Fishing Port, also known as Fame Harbor, is a crescent-shaped closed harbor with a northeast-southwest trend, with an area of 27 square kilometers and a water depth of 4-33 meters. It can berth 10,000 fishing boats and sail 10,000 tons of ships, and the harbor is calm. It is a famous sheltered harbor along the southeast coast, as well as a fishing port and commercial port. It is one of the four major fishing ports in China. Shipu is one of the earliest cradles of marine fishery in China. Ancestors fished and hunted here in Qin and Han Dynasties.
