Yang Lihua was poached by Sai Jinbao Theatre Company on 1962. In addition to being a minor student, he continued to be welcomed by the audience in the Taiwanese opera world. During the period of 1960, he also performed more than a dozen Taiwanese films with the troupe.

1In the late 1940s, Taiwanese opera was still the most popular entertainment or drama in Taiwan Province Province, so Yang Lihua was famous for its performance name "Little An 'an" (translated as "Weng" in Chinese). The name of Weng is still familiar to Taiwanese opera fans over 60 years old.

1957, 13-year-old Yang Lihua officially became a member of "Yichun Garden" Opera Troupe, and all performances were "disguised as men". Because of her beautiful costumes, she not only quickly became the mainstay of the troupe, but also became popular throughout Taiwan in the following year (196 1) with her drama Lu Wenlong. This drama also established her position as the first student of Taiwanese opera in Taiwan Province Province.
