I want to say again that when I was in college, I found a very good way to practice listening and expand my vocabulary-open class method. I think everyone will complain about advanced mathematics and linear algebra in college, and even many students can attribute the reason why they don't learn English to "spending all their time on mathematics". Part II: Experience of College English Learning The last semester of college English learning is coming to an end. Looking back on the study in the past year, I feel that I have gained a lot.

The first is the memory of English words. Vocabulary is the basis of learning English. Without rich vocabulary, the English building cannot be built. Since I started learning English in junior high school, my vocabulary is only a few hundred. The teacher doesn't insist, and I don't pay much attention to it. But this semester, Mr. Zhang Lei adopted the method of focusing on different points, learning from others' strengths and encouraging in public, which made me eager to remember more words bit by bit. There are many English experts in our fifteenth group. After each dictation, one or two members always get full marks. I have a poor foundation. At first, I only got 14, but the role model is around. I also hope to have the opportunity to let the teachers and the whole class know me. So I try my best to remember words every time. After a semester's study, I gradually mastered some methods of memorizing words, such as memorizing or classifying words in various ways by listening, speaking, reading and remembering. From the beginning, I spent a whole day reciting a unit of words to being able to accurately write down words in just one class, and I felt that I had made great progress. Finally, when the teacher praised the outstanding students, my name finally appeared, and I feel that my efforts have paid off.

Then there is listening. I used to have a vague feeling when I was listening, as if my mind was in a mess, and I could only understand the general meaning and get the answer. After a semester of training, I can not only hear the dialogue clearly, but also repeat sentences sometimes. This is a great progress for students with poor foundation like me. This is due to teacher Zhang's training. The teacher knows that some students don't listen and practice consciously, so they keep playing listening materials in class, and even after listening, the teacher will analyze how to listen, which questions have high error rate, which questions should be paid more attention to and so on. Sometimes students are asked to answer questions, so I listen carefully every time because I am afraid I can't answer them. Finally, the composition. Composition is my biggest headache. Originally, I didn't have much vocabulary, but after two grammatical mistakes, my composition score never went up. But Mr. Zhang starts with the basic composition structure and teaches methods bit by bit. Although there is no great improvement on the whole (the composition cannot be solved in a short time), the format, structure and some common mistakes are still known. Never use Chinese characters to remember English pronunciation.
