College English learning experience

University study depends entirely on self-cognition, while English study needs persistence. The following is what I compiled for you: My Experience in College English Learning. The content is for reference only, I hope it will help you. More related content is here, welcome to read.

Chapter One: The Experience of College English Learning Looking back, the first semester of college passed in such a hurry, and the last English class of my college career (I hope so) ended with a touch of loneliness and regret in the cheerful atmosphere of Christmas approaching. Looking back on the summer vacation after the college entrance examination, I was really not in the mood to go out to play for more than a month. After the dust settled, I was afraid of falling behind in the English grading examination in the first semester, forcing myself to sign up for the New Oriental Band 4 class for more than half a month. In this way, I waited for joyful's summer vacation in 18, which was really a bit shabby. But when I found my name on the list of Class Three, I suddenly felt that it was all worth it!

English learning is very tiring, but it can be called the best subject to study, but if you think it is easy, it can be called hard work. He is by no means immersed in the Wang Yang sea of formulas and questions like science, nor is he a liberal arts student who can get good grades by surprise before the exam. Slow work and fine work, the most appropriate image of English is probably the root iron bug. Always hammering day after day, there should be no temporary relaxation and giving up, and finally it can become the most perfect needle.

Having said that, it's time to share some of my English learning tips with you, ensuring quality and quantity.

Starting with words, words can be said to be the most annoying item in English learning. Many people say that they should recite it every day, but it is difficult to stick to it when they do it themselves, but don't give up. This is the most reliable way to remember long-term words. Here, I would also like to recommend a "four-level" word memory method (just for the exam, you can't improve your English completely by this! ):

1. Collect real reading questions in the past five years (if you really don't have time, you must guarantee three years), and remember the stem of the questions and the new words in all options.

2. Find the sentences corresponding to the correct answers in the reading questions, and remember the new words in the corresponding sentences.

3. I don't need to say new words when listening to the original text, choosing words to fill in the blanks and cloze. Remember them!

I want to say again that when I was in college, I found a very good way to practice listening and expand my vocabulary-open class method. I think everyone will complain about advanced mathematics and linear algebra in college, and even many students can attribute the reason why they don't learn English to "spending all their time on mathematics". Don't worry, just listen to the same or even more wonderful math open class taught by MIT, which can not only improve your math, but also improve your English imperceptibly. I dare say, there is nothing better.

There is one more thing I would like to recommend-China Daily Mobile Newspaper! For a while, I tried to buy a thick China Daily from the newsstand, but I was finally confused by the dense pure English. But now, for less than 5 yuan's money every month, you can receive two beautiful China Daily mobile newspapers every day (one in the morning and one in the evening), which not only select the most attractive content, but also are bilingual, so you don't have to look up the dictionary back and forth without headache, and there will be audio broadcast every night for several months.

Finally, I want to talk about remedial classes. Although self-study and college English teacher's teaching are the first, there are few English classes every week (maybe not in the future! ), and it is undeniable that sometimes you can't persist and understand well without the guidance of professional teachers. I'm afraid the experience of New Oriental will never be forgotten by me. Humorous and experienced teachers made me realize that English learning can be so skillful. Every skill is guided by a teacher who specializes in this subject, which makes my understanding and mastery of English knowledge more in-depth and beneficial. I'm afraid the English writing class has benefited me the most.

Finally, I would like to thank the enthusiastic xu teacher for his careful teaching of this group of "young students" for half a year, and thank the school for providing us with this unexpected short English class.

I wish you all the best in your next English study!

Part II: Experience of College English Learning The last semester of college English learning is coming to an end. Looking back on the study in the past year, I feel that I have gained a lot.

The first is the memory of English words. Vocabulary is the basis of learning English. Without rich vocabulary, the English building cannot be built. Since I started learning English in junior high school, my vocabulary is only a few hundred. The teacher doesn't insist, and I don't pay much attention to it. But this semester, Mr. Zhang Lei adopted the method of focusing on different points, learning from others' strengths and encouraging in public, which made me eager to remember more words bit by bit. There are many English experts in our fifteenth group. After each dictation, one or two members always get full marks. I have a poor foundation. At first, I only got 14, but the role model is around. I also hope to have the opportunity to let the teachers and the whole class know me. So I try my best to remember words every time. After a semester's study, I gradually mastered some methods of memorizing words, such as memorizing or classifying words in various ways by listening, speaking, reading and remembering. From the beginning, I spent a whole day reciting a unit of words to being able to accurately write down words in just one class, and I felt that I had made great progress. Finally, when the teacher praised the outstanding students, my name finally appeared, and I feel that my efforts have paid off.

Then there is listening. I used to have a vague feeling when I was listening, as if my mind was in a mess, and I could only understand the general meaning and get the answer. After a semester of training, I can not only hear the dialogue clearly, but also repeat sentences sometimes. This is a great progress for students with poor foundation like me. This is due to teacher Zhang's training. The teacher knows that some students don't listen and practice consciously, so they keep playing listening materials in class, and even after listening, the teacher will analyze how to listen, which questions have high error rate, which questions should be paid more attention to and so on. Sometimes students are asked to answer questions, so I listen carefully every time because I am afraid I can't answer them. I feel that we are not only training listening, but also mastering the examination methods.

Finally, the composition. Composition is my biggest headache. Originally, I didn't have much vocabulary, but after two grammatical mistakes, my composition score never went up. But Mr. Zhang starts with the basic composition structure and teaches methods bit by bit. Although there is no great improvement on the whole (the composition cannot be solved in a short time), the format, structure and some common mistakes are still known. At least the teacher can't pick out some common sense problems in the exam, and basically get a few points. You know, I only got three points in one exam! Watch the progress!

In fact, it is not only English ability that is improved in class, but also many other talents. For example, once teacher Zhang chose an English host, and I was the host of our group. In fact, my nervous voice was shaking, but I persisted. I am happy to win extra points for our group, but I am happier when I beat myself. In short, this semester's study is very effective, and I hope I can continue to maintain this state.

I want to give myself an A, because I think the focus of learning is not the starting point or the end point, but what you have mastered and how much progress you have made in this process. This is my harvest!

Chapter 3: College English Learning Experience 1. Foreign communication needs English.

With the development of the world economy, international exchanges become more and more frequent, and it is more and more common for China people to go abroad and foreigners to come to China. With the integration of China's economy with the world economy, this kind of exchange meeting has increased dramatically. English is the most widely used language in international communication, and the contradiction between the rapid development of international communication and the relatively low level of foreign languages is increasingly prominent. It is in this situation that people learn English with great enthusiasm.

You need English if you don't go abroad.

With the rapid development of information superhighway in the world in recent years, the world has entered the information society and network world (1997 World Economic Forum), the earth is getting smaller and smaller, and the boundary between domestic and foreign countries becomes unclear. In a sense, it can be said that domestic is foreign. For example, with the emergence of multimedia (words, sounds and images) on the Internet, various virtual things emerge one after another.

You need English without high technology.

Generally speaking, China lags behind foreign countries not only in cutting-edge science and technology, but also in general science and technology. Anyone who is engaged in non-cutting-edge scientific and technological work must also know English in order to keep abreast of the development of foreign countries and learn from their advanced experience.

You need English without scientific research.

You can solve problems that others can't solve, you can explain problems that others don't understand, you can foresee problems that others can't foresee (in fact, they may come from foreign books and periodicals), and so on. You may be regarded as superior in ability and intelligence by colleagues who never read foreign books and periodicals. If we can make it clear and combine the specific situation of our country, we may be able to create something.

5. Other uses of English

Due to the need of reform and opening up, the demand for English talents is increasing day by day. Even if you don't become an English teacher after learning English, you can at least help others learn English. With the development of society, the requirements for the English level of the next generation will be higher and higher. Parents who have graduated from college can help their children learn English.

Part of the intermediate transition:

It is precisely because of the importance of English in today's social life that I have also summed up some experiences in the process of learning and tried to pass CET-4 this year.

Let me talk about my English learning experience in detail:

English is a language science. To learn it well, we need to use our brains and be diligent in thinking. English knowledge is numerous and fragmentary, so it should be summarized in time after learning.

In my research, I summarized the following points:

Recite words:

The most common way to learn English is to recite words, but the explanation of words is dead, the use of language is alive, and mechanical understanding will cause great misunderstanding. Therefore, words are not the most important, what matters is context. It can be said that words are not of great practical value, and no matter how many words are memorized, it will not really improve your foreign language level. Therefore, we should develop the good habit of reciting sentences, because sentences not only contain pronunciation rules, but also contain grammatical content, and can also show the specific meaning of a word in a specific language environment. Be sure to set aside some time to recite words and some good English articles in the morning. Combining memorizing words with memorizing articles can not only understand sentence patterns, but also memorize words, which really kills two birds with one stone. Remember a few words before going to bed every night to make effective use of time and increase your vocabulary.

Phonetics and grammar:

Never use Chinese characters to remember English pronunciation. If you learn a foreign language with poor pronunciation, you will never really master a foreign language, and the biggest harm is that it is not conducive to cultivating your interest in foreign languages and affecting your next study. Some students use Chinese pronunciation to mark English, which is innovative, but it is absolutely not good for oral English learning. When learning English, you should dare to speak and not be afraid of grammatical mistakes. In my opinion, if there are no specific questions, generally don't read grammar books. Learning those boring grammars in advance may make you lose interest and confidence in learning a foreign language. There is no right or wrong in learning a language, as long as you can say it and make people understand it. You don't have to worry about what sentence patterns to use, as long as you can choose the right word. The best way to learn spoken English is not to practice, recite or read grammar books, but to read the text aloud repeatedly. The purpose of this exercise is to cultivate one's sense of language. Only with a sense of language can we unconsciously write the correct answer when doing the problem. Moreover, when you read dozens of texts skillfully, many common sentences will blurt out unconsciously. In addition, watch more foreign movies. I believe everyone likes Hollywood movies, compare Chinese and English subtitles, remember sentences that appear in spoken English, and remember some words.

Listen:

Listen if you don't understand. When practicing listening, many students often complain that they don't understand, so they lose interest in listening and often give up halfway. In fact, even if you don't understand, it is also a kind of learning, but you can't perceive it yourself. I feel that if we want to break through listening, we should start with special English, because listening to those standard speed listening materials at first will greatly damage our newly cultivated self-confidence and make most of us give up. When listening, try to repeat every sentence, including every word, and you can't help but hear it. Learning English is interrelated. Our goal should be to learn to express what we hear in our own words and use as many words and phrases as possible. Usually listen to English materials or songs. I want to share with you the study advice given to me by Teacher Zhao:

1. You can start with memorizing words;

2. Read more words and texts in textbooks;

3. Familiar with and able to recite the incisive sentences of the text;

4. Buy a book with a good composition and recite it;

5. Do some CET-4 real questions regularly;

6. Listen to more English tapes (songs).

Learning English well is by no means a simple matter of method. Everyone should maintain confidence, determination, perseverance, self-management, self-discipline and curiosity. I believe learning English well is not a problem.

I recommend it carefully.
