South Lake covers an area of 243 square kilometers, with an altitude of 4,429 meters and a water depth of 2 meters. About 2 million years ago, Zabuye Chaka was a member of the ancient lake basin in Long Geer. At that time, the ancient lake basin was vast and the height of the lake was very high, which was about 100 meters higher than that of modern salt lakes. Later, due to the influence of natural climatic conditions, the climate was dry, the wind raged, and the lake gradually shrank. Later, the longer ancient lake basin disintegrated. At this time, many sub-lake basins were gradually formed, and the lowest sub-lake basin was Zabuye Chaka.

Due to the low geographical position, the surrounding high lake basins are surrounded by a circle and connected with Zabuye tea card through ripples. After many times of ripple recharge, the underground brine and the ground dissolved the salt components, which made Zabuye Chaka brine richer and larger, and also created the salt lake with the most boron, lithium, potassium and other salts in Tibet today.

Chabuye Chaka area belongs to the cold and semi-arid climate of plateau. Although the temperature is low all the year round, the Chabuye tea card basically does not freeze because of its high salt content, but the overall average temperature is only 1, which is windy. You shouldn't wear a skirt just to be beautiful.
