Baishiling in Shitai, a "paradise" hidden in the mountains of southern Anhui, has a history of more than 600 years.

The answer to this question may be different in everyone's mind, but it is basically the same. "Xanadu" is a place where people live and work in peace and contentment and the environment is quiet and beautiful. Just like this photo, the white-walled houses of Daiwa are dotted among green mountains and green waters, which makes people yearn for it.

"Xanadu" comes from the Peach Blossom Garden written by Tao Yuanming, a writer in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and now it has become a place that everyone yearns for, so that many Xanadus have appeared, attracting tourists' admiration. A few days ago, I went to shitai county, Chizhou, Anhui with my friends. Here I met a small village with a beautiful scenery like "Xanadu", called "Baishiling".

Baishiling, an ancient natural village in Xinlian Village, Dayan Township, shitai county, is located at the foot of Guniujiang Scenic Area, 20 kilometers south of shitai county. It takes about 30 minutes to drive here.

Baishiling is an ordinary small village, and it is precisely because of its commonness that it still maintains its purest, quaint and original ecological appearance, and exudes quaint and elegant atmosphere everywhere.

Baishiling is built on the mountain, and a stream passes through the village. The streams in the village are gurgling and the ancient trees are towering. The scenery is beautiful and the history is very long. It can be traced back to the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. This is an ancient village with a history of more than 600 years.

Anhui Huizhou residential buildings are vividly displayed here. White walls and tiles, mottled horse head walls and quiet courtyards look extraordinarily beautiful. Isn't this the "Xanadu" I yearn for?

As we all know, there are many Huizhou-style buildings in southern Anhui, especially Xidi and Hongcun. Compared with these two ancient villages and towns, Baishiling is more hidden and low-key, and few tourists know it. Even if you travel here in the tourist season, you won't see crowded tour groups, and some are just quiet and primitive mountain village environment.

Baishiling was originally a cottage. Historically, Baishiling's economic prosperity has attracted the attention of grave robbers. In order to prevent the attack of grave robbers, local residents built a village around the mountain and set up watchtowers at the entrance and surrounding areas of the village. Of course, these facilities have long since disappeared, and most of the buildings are well preserved.

Don't look at those houses with white walls, which appear in front of you from the mountains. In fact, only five families live here. Most of the houses are empty, or rented to people who come here to escape from the world and spend their holidays. Of course, many people have stayed here for a long time, because they linger in this beautiful scenery like a paradise.

As mentioned earlier, this place has been built into a photography and painting base. Even if it develops, it is not serious. Being in the countryside, I can't see any traces of tourism development, such as catering and accommodation. If you want to stay here, you can rent a resident's house. When it comes to renting a house, you have to mention rent. The rent is only 1000 yuan a year, so you can choose any house.

When I was playing here, I was also attracted by the scenery of Baishiling. If I am not busy making a living, I will decide to stay here for a while.

Baishiling gives me the feeling that it is too quiet and beautiful. The small bridges and flowing water in the village, the white walls and gray tiles between Shan Ye and the tenacious old trees all seem to exude unique charm. The biggest feeling of body and mind is that everything has slowed down.

I have been to many ancient villages and towns before. It is really rare for an ancient village like Baishiling not to be commercialized, which is closely related to the simplicity of the local people. They love their home, and will not destroy it wantonly, but cherish it very much. After more than 600 years of ups and downs, they are still writing a quiet and poetic life.

Who can not yearn for this kind of idyllic life? If one day you are tired of the noisy life in the city, you might as well stay here for a few days and feel the quiet life here, and you will certainly gain a lot.
