Different from some of the works I published this year,

The poem Parabola took a long time ( It took a year!) to write it.

When Cai Mei moved to Taiwan and hadn’t contacted me for a long time,

I am not familiar with her tone

So, I desperately put the song away without writing it.

Suddenly one day, I felt very guilty,

I wrote this song "Parabola".

Let’s talk about it as a teaching material:

The verse and chorus of the lyrics are completely different.

Lyricists often like to add scenes to the verses, and

use dialogue to express the theme in the chorus.

I usually do too.

But this song is the other way around.

Because the structure of the song is like this.

The melody of the main song keeps repeating, as if a person is talking to himself.

So I wrote:
