Combined with Journey to the West, let’s talk about why the king suffered for three years

There is a cause and effect. When King Zhuzi was crown prince, he injured the two children of Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva. The original text was said by Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva

The Bodhisattva said: "He is the golden-haired animal that I am riding. Because the shepherd boy was asleep and lost his defense, the evil beast bit off the iron rope and came, but it was with King Zhuzi. Hearing this, the traveler bowed anxiously and said, "The Bodhisattva said, here he deceived the king and deceived the queen, and caused disasters to the king, but he said it was to eliminate the disasters." The Bodhisattva said, "You don't know?" In other words, when the late king of the Zhuzi Kingdom was in power, he was still the crown prince of the East Palace and had not yet ascended the throne. When he was young, he was an excellent hunter. He led his men and horses and let the hawks and dogs loose. When they came to Luofeng Slope, there was a peacock of the Western Buddha. The two sons of Bodhisattva Daming King were male and female. Their wings were resting under the hillside. The king's bow shot the male peacock, and the female peacock also returned to the west with the arrow. After the Buddha's mother repented, she ordered him to teach him. Three years after I dismantled the phoenix, I was suffering from chronic illness. At that time, I was riding on this horse and listening to this statement. Unexpectedly, the evil beast paid attention, so I deceived the queen and resolved the misfortune with the king. For the past three years, I have been satisfied with my grievances. Fortunately, you are here to cure the king's illness, and I am here to collect the evil spirits."
