Speaking of couplets, we are familiar with them. We can always see all kinds of couplets in various environments in our lives. Even when we were students, we learned many couplets, because couplets are one of the most important traditional cultures in China. Good couplets can not only give people knowledge, but also serve as a code of conduct and a motto of life, and teach us to be human and do things.

Yes, we have never seen couplets in our daily life, but can everything we can see in our life be called couplets? Don't think that a left and a right, with the same number of words, can be called a couplet. As a traditional culture of China, it has a very long history and a lot of attention. Otherwise, how can it become a treasure of China culture? Couplets are one of the important traditional cultures in China. They are opposite sentences written on paper, cloth or engraved on posts and wood. Couplets pay attention to the unity of antithesis, balance and harmony, with the same number of words. We also call them couplets. It is also a unique expression in Chinese.

Distance is the earliest record of couplets, which can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms period, so we can see that the history of couplets is very long. Maybe the couplets I can understand are only posted on children during the Spring Festival, but there are many kinds of couplets. Spring Festival couplets are posted on the door during the New Year, while others are called elegiac couplets for funerals and violet couplets for weddings. As an important part of China's traditional culture and the customs of China people, in 2005, the State Council, China listed couplet customs as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage. It is of great value to include couplets in intangible cultural heritage for spreading and promoting Chinese culture.

There are many classic couplets in history. Today I will talk about those classic couplets. As we all know, Su Jia's three sons, Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe, are all very talented people, well-educated and well-informed, but Su Jia also has an intelligent and eloquent Su Xiaomei. Although his fame is not as great as theirs, he is really talented. We all heard that the relationship between Fo Yin monk and Su Dongpo is very good, and this Fo Yin monk is also a very talented person. Su Xiaomei often listens to Su Dongpo praising Fo Yin in front of her. Although Su Xiaomei said nothing, his heart was full of fighting spirit and he was very unconvinced. Because Fo Yin monks often go to Fo Yin monks to play chess and talk about the past and the present, it happened that one day, Su Xiaomei went out and met Fo Yin who came to see Su Dongpo at the door. Of course, Fo Yin asked his brother politely if he was at home. How could Su Xiaomei miss such a good opportunity? Su Xiaomei not only did not answer his question, but directly to a pair of:

People used to be monks, and people can become Buddhas;

This pair is a clever antithetical couplet. The first two words spell together to form a "monk", and "Buddha" is connected with the monk. In fact, there is a little disrespect hidden in this. Fo Yin listened to his words in situ and leng for a long time, it's beside Su Xiaomei some happy in my heart, feel Su Dongpo's evaluation of him is too high, so that when happy, blurt out:

A woman is humble as a maid, and a woman can be called a slave.

This couplet is a classic. At this time, Su Xiaomei looked helpless, turned to the study and shouted, "Brother, someone is coming" and hurried out. Another day, Fo Yin also came to see Su Dongpo. Unfortunately, Su Xiaomei was ill and bedridden. At this time, Su Dongpo, who was about to send medicine to Su Xiaomei, saw his old friend Fo Yin visiting and chatted with Fo Yin. At this time, Su Xiaomei was unhappy because of the last thing, and when he saw Su Dongpo snubbing himself because of the arrival of Fo Yin, he was even more unhappy in his heart, so he read aloud a couplet in his hospital bed:

Wash monks by the clear water pool and soak gourds by the waves;

Here, Su Xiaomei compared the "gourd" to a monk's "bald head", which shows how disrespectful it is. Su Dongpo doesn't know his little sister's temper, so he must be angry again. So hurriedly carrying medicine in the past, one side of Fo Yin is very helpless, listening to the "bristle" and bottom allied to fall off, he also knows that we have sinned against Su Xiaomei last time, this time to make him happy, want to listen to some, thought for a while really didn't want to come out, then see Su Dongpo carrying medicine opened the green yarn account, just want to feed my little sister, to the inspiration, immediately said:

Beauty sits in the green tent, peony is in the smoke cage.

Su Xiaomei was very happy, and drank all the medicine in one breath. Su Dongpo also appreciates Fo Yin. After that, Su Xiaomei had a good impression of Fo Yin. After all, there are a lot of talents. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, Su Dongpo invited Fo Yin to enjoy the moon together, and of course Su Xiaomei was indispensable. At the worst time, Su Xiaomei gave Fo Yin two sentences to correct him. Urged by Su Dongpo, Su Xiaomei unhurriedly read the first part:

Five hundred arhats cross the river, and there are thousands of buddhas on the shore;

Su Dongpo felt particularly ugly. There are figures in it. Thousand Buddhas refer to the crossing of the river by 500 arhats and their reflections. Fo Yin is also very upset at this moment, but inadvertently, bowed their heads and saw the reflection of little sister in the water is also clearly visible, and suddenly inspiration came, right:

A beautiful woman reflects the moon, and there are two beautiful women in the world.

Su Dongpo also applauded after hearing this, which is a much-told story. The story of Su Xiaomei's Three Difficulties and Fo Yin has not been told by Su Xiaomei for three times. Fo Yin appreciated his talent very much, and from then on, everyone became good friends. Of course, while appreciating Fo Yin, we should also appreciate Su Xiaomei's talent. Moreover, Qin Shaoyou, the groom in Su Xiaomei's Trials, was also told as a much-told story.

From the above story, we can know that couplets can not only enrich life and add fun, but also show people's knowledge. In fact, in addition to these, good couplets can also be used as a criterion for our life. In history, countless people made many classic couplets when the nation was in danger, to show the indomitable character of China people.

In the history of our country, there was a great hero and an excellent commander in chief. He loves his motherland and is a late bloomer. He was even rated as the legendary commander-in-chief of China by American military scholars. Liang Qichao rated him as "the first great man in 500 years". He is left. He experienced the Westernization Movement, the Hunan Pacification Movement, the Pingpan Tongzhi Uprising, and he also recovered Xinjiang. In order to recover Xinjiang, it once argued with Confucianism, and finally it was promoted by public opinion. In order to show his determination, he was over 60 years old and asked people to carry coffins to fight. He devoted his life to his country. And his couplet shows that he has not been confused by fame and fortune all his life and has to be admired. This couplet is also the only calligraphy in Li Ka-shing's office, and it also influenced Rong Yiren, the former vice president. Even in his later years, Rong Yiren often recommended this couplet to people around him:

"Make a good wish, make a medium fortune and enjoy the next blessing; Choose a high place to stand, find a flat place to live, and go to a wide place. "
