In this issue, we invited three photographers who are good at shooting portraits of girls, namely Bunny (Weibo), Han Jing (Weibo) who is good at refreshing literary portraits, and Lyon (Weibo: Lyon is just a shutter button) to talk about their feelings and experiences in summer portrait shooting.

Q: What do you think is the difference between taking portraits in summer and taking portraits in other seasons?

Rabbit sauce: it means sunny and beautiful spots. Because I am from Chengdu, the weather in Chengdu is cloudy all year round, but only in summer can I get enough light.

Han Jing: I wear less clothes in summer, so I won't be so bloated. Some extreme shooting (such as getting into the water) won't make my sister too painful.

Leon: Taking portraits in summer is more sunny and energetic than other seasons. Many beautiful things basically happen in midsummer. Summer is cheerful, bright and warm, and of course it is hot! Ha ha.

Q: What's your impression of summer, and how do you shoot it?

Rabbit sauce: In summer, dragonflies fly, frogs croak, bright sunshine and fresh air bring yearning for a better life. It is inevitable to eat watermelon in summer, and it is said that summer without watermelon is incomplete. So if you want the taste of summer, watermelon is an essential element.

Han Jing: Most summer shoots will consider cool Japanese.

Leon: The summer I remember is sunny and beautiful. Prepare the general theme and go to some places different from the city with friends to express it in sunshine.

Q: Do you have any favorite styles and types in shooting?

Rabbit sauce: of course, it is small and fresh and Japanese natural style.

Han Jing: I prefer B&; W's emotional film.

Leon: I prefer the simple and clean feeling. Personally, I prefer the photography style of Cross Wave Show.

Q: What is your usual figure and lens? Why do you prefer this combination? Will different equipment give you different shooting experiences?

Rabbit sauce: The camera I often use is Pentax KR, and the lens is DA50 1.8. I can't say what I like, because I only had this shot before, poof. I just added a new lens last month, but I didn't use it much.

Han Jing: Commonly used fuselage 5D3 and lens 35L. For me, this combination allows me to blend into the shooting environment and capture the relationship between the subject and the environment more clearly. Of course, I will try my best to use the film machine, which will give me a different shooting experience.

Leon: The commonly used machines are generally film machines: Kang Taishi 139Q lens Pan Taikang 50 mm f 1.8 Canon f1&; 50mm f1.4mm & amp28mm f2.8SC Canon EOS30v Sigma 35mm 1.4, etc. Generally, you will use CONTAX139 Q&; 50mm 1.8, because it is light, reliable and accurate, EOS 30V is often used when shooting guest films, because it is compatible with EF lens, and autofocus and film passing will make shooting efficiency higher.

Q: What's the difference between portrait shooting, indoor shooting and outdoor shooting in summer?

Rabbit sauce: I definitely prefer outdoor shooting. As I said before, Chengdu is a city with many cloudy days, so even if it is very hot in summer, I will not miss the opportunity of location.

Han Jing: Summer portraits must be shot indoors if they are relaxed, but outdoors should be more colorful and more suitable for the theme of summer portraits.

Leon: I like shooting outdoors. After all, it's sunny in summer, so I have more freedom to go out and shoot. There are more scenes to choose from when planning, and there are more themes that reflect summer.

Q: Share one or two interesting or unexpected things in summer portrait shooting.

Rabbit sauce: Mosquitoes are the biggest annoyance of summer portraits, and the biggest enemy of every photo shoot is mosquitoes. Do I have a nickname? Moving mosquito-repellent incense? Because I especially recruit mosquitoes, mosquitoes will bite me everywhere, which is also a good way to protect models hahaha.

Han Jing: Every time I shoot with my sister, it is very interesting, but my sister is late and the weather has changed.

Leon: This hat was held up by another friend and photographed by himself, so that the sun shines through the hat to form a light spot. At first, the hat couldn't be shaped, but after it was finished, it bent and covered the face. Finally, it was repaired artificially. A little friend took a hat and took turns patting it. Finally, the picture looks natural, but the hat is difficult to shape.

From this high angle, many friends are asking after the film is released. So high? ! Did you bring a ladder? Actually, I snuck into the security booth next door? Borrow? Got a stool, and then when shooting, the friends took turns? Borrow? The stool is gone.

Q: At present, many people think that a person looks like a work, so it is good to find a beautiful sister paper. What do you think of this? What percentage do you think model sister paper accounts for in the quality of works?

Rabbit sauce: It can only be said that the expressive force of the model can add points to the photo. Secondly, the photographer captures the expression and emotion of the model himself, which is an important link in the success of portrait shooting. So it's not the model's appearance, because everyone looks good, even non-professional girls can shoot beautifully.

Han Jing: Personally, I think it should account for more than 30%. A good creative theme, an expressive girl, a good shooting time and scene are all important.

Leon: It depends on artistry or hormones. If hormones completely control your mind, it is impossible.

Personally, a good photo should be the whole theme selection, costume props preparation, pre-shooting, post-retouching, lighting, model appearance, one after another, indispensable.

Q: How do you conceive and plan before shooting?

Rabbit sauce: This preliminary preparation is also very important, such as how to match clothes, how to choose props, and buy them in Taobao or physical stores. The next step is to choose the venue according to your own shooting theme. Good photos are not only good technical preparation, but also very important.

Han Jing: Every shot has a theme, and then the scene and the girl are determined according to the theme.

Leon: I will make an idea or plan according to the weather conditions of the day. For example, if the sun is shining, you will prefer a beautiful and positive theme and choose a clean, clear or concise scene. For example, a big lawn, a forest, a greenhouse, a river with small pine trees, a beach, a hillside with windmills and other healing scenes, of course, need a cheerful and lively sister paper. A sweet smile and a little sunshine can outline a beautiful summer picture.

Q: How to choose a model and how to communicate with the model to get the desired effect?

Rabbit sauce: During the filming, I was chatting with the model. During the filming, we always maintained a happy mood. Of course, it's not confined to one place, but it's like walking around in summer and starting shooting when you get to the right place. There are long breaks and intermittent shooting in the middle.

Han Jing: When determining the theme, I will find a girl who is suitable for the theme shooting. She can tell me what she thinks, and I will tell her what I think. Only when she can be knowledgeable can she shoot, and new ideas are often used at the scene when shooting.

Leon: Generally speaking, the best way to build trust. If you can't communicate or build trust, you should never be forced to film it. There is also the state of the model, including physical and mental state, whether there is discomfort and so on. And then guide the shooting. Generally, I will shoot while chatting, or let the model perform if the situation is assumed.

Rabbit sauce: The battle scene in summer was shot in my college family area, because my school is very old, and some houses in the family area are older houses. Although the background environment chosen in this way is a bit chaotic, it is the most real life. Environmental portrait photography should be like this, integrating characters into the environment and becoming a complete story.

Summer shooting is not suitable for big flowery skirts and sexy clothes, so the double ponytails used in hair style are lively and lovely.
