There are similar records in Meng Lianggu and Wulin Notes. Laba porridge, also known as Buddha porridge, is cooked with exquisite fruits and vegetables, delicious and nourishing, and is deeply loved by the people. There is also a saying that Laba porridge is developed from "fasting rice". Monks in ancient temples used baskets to beg along the door and took them back to the temple.
