Introduction to Ningbo Yushan Island

I am used to going to Dongji Island and Yushan Island in Zhejiang. After sunset, stand on the rocks of the island and watch the blue water. The sea water laps at the rocks and the sea breeze blows on your face. Let’s introduce a tour guide to Yushan Island in Ningbo, Zhejiang!

Basic introduction

The Yushan Islands, known as the "No. 1 Fishing Ground in Asia", are located in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, about 45 kilometers southeast of Shipu Town (my home). Because it is located at the intersection of the north and south ocean currents and is rich in fish, shellfish and algae resources, there are more people who come to sea specifically for fishing than for leisure travel. At the same time, if you go to the island, you can also enjoy the freshest seafood at low prices.

Yushan Island is divided into northern and southern parts. Because there is fresh water in the North Island, it forms a small fishing village. The dilapidated houses are renovated to provide accommodation and meals, so travelers basically only go to the North Island. The North Island covers an area of ??only 0.5 square kilometers, but its landforms are varied. There are Far East lighthouses, sheltered bays, monumental stone bridges, rich vegetation and steep rocks. It is more appropriate to spend 2 days exploring every corner of the island, or you can also spend time quietly watching the sea.

: Traffic introduction

1. Shipu Town, City——. Shipu Town belongs to a peninsula, with transportation at the end and no direct high-speed rail.

(1) In Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, you can take a bus or bus directly from the city where you are located.

(2) You can also take the high-speed rail to Ningbo High-speed Railway Station and then transfer to the bus (Ningbo High-speed Railway Station is very close to the long-distance bus station, 10 meters apart).

2. Yushan Island, Shipu Town. Yushan Island is 45 kilometers away from the mainland, and you need to take a passenger boat to reach the island.

(1) Ferry tickets are divided into fast and slow boats, the fast boat has 220 seats, the 1.5h slow boat is 160/pair, 2.5h (one-way price).

(2) Compared to the moderately priced accommodation and seafood on the island, ferry tickets are the bulk of the itinerary, but because it is far away from the mainland, the color of Yushan Island is the real blue sea.

(3) Tickets can be booked by phone or through the reserved hotel.

:Accommodation on the island

1. Stay in a hotel.

The tourism industry on Yushan Island has also developed for several years. There are also several B&Bs on the island that were converted from residential houses. The conditions are average and the price ranges from 200 to 500 yuan per room depending on the season. But the strange thing is that it is 9012 and it is difficult to find those hotels online. This is the hotel where I ate this time. The accommodations are moderate, the seafood is great, and the location is great!

2. Tent camping.

Of course you have to camp when you go to the beach! There are many places suitable for camping on the island. Let’s talk about the Wanghai Hotel where we ate this time, because there is a camping site on the cliff 20 meters away. The terrain is flat, facing the sea, and you can sleep with the sound of the tide. At the same time, the hotel paid a cleaning fee per head. Although it is camping, it is easy to clean.

Food on the island

If you eat and drink, it is basically linked to the hotel where you stay. I haven't eaten anywhere else. I can only speak highly of the food at this hotel. It should be similar on the island. One person can basically eat seventy or eighty tables of fresh seafood, probably from local ingredients. The seafood is fresh, large in quantity, and the price/performance ratio is much higher than that on land. The way to eat it is to steam it and eat some of it raw, with less vegetables and other vegetables. After all, these foreign materials are transported by fishing boats.
