What misunderstandings need to be avoided in watermelon planting in greenhouse?

As we all know, watermelon can't be replanted, otherwise it will have a devastating blight. If watermelons are planted in greenhouses, it is not cost-effective to change the greenhouses once a year. The watermelon planting area in our greenhouse is large, and all of them are grafted, which effectively avoids the problem of continuous cropping of watermelon. Let me tell you something about grafting cultivation of watermelon.

1. Butt-in between pumpkin and watermelon: When the leaves of pumpkin seeds are flat, remove the growing points, and obliquely cut a knife at the angle of 45 degrees below the cotyledons, with the depth of 2/5- 1/2 of the stem diameter and the incision length of about 1 cm. At the same time, the corresponding part of watermelon scion inclines upward at a 45-degree angle, the depth is 1/2-2/3 neck thickness, and the incision length is the same as that of rootstock. The cut of the scion is embedded in the cut of the rootstock stem, so that the interface between the scion and the rootstock is closely attached and fixed with a grafting clip. After about seven days, the joint healed and the root of the scion was cut off. After 10- 15 days, the grafting clip was removed.

2. Grafting with gourd as rootstock: When grafting, the terminal bud and true leaf of gourd are removed, leaving only two cotyledons, and then a bamboo stick is inserted downward between the vein of the cotyledon of gourd and the stem of gourd at a 45-degree direction, the tip of the bamboo stick is just exposed, and the tip of the bamboo stick has an inclined plane of 6-8 mm, which is equivalent to the thickness of watermelon seedlings. Cut off the stem of watermelon seedling at the position of 8- 10 mm below the cotyledon, with the section length of 8- 10 mm, remove the bamboo stick, and quickly insert the section of watermelon scion into the gourd rootstock, so that the two sections are close together, and the cotyledons of rootstock and scion cross.

Aiming at the problems of variety structure and stubble arrangement in greenhouse watermelon production area, through several years of introduction and experimental research of new varieties, a 1 year double-season fresh mustard tuber-greenhouse watermelon planting model was established. Compared with the traditional planting mode, this mode has the advantages of reasonable variety structure, light continuous cropping obstacle, prolonged growth period, reduced production cost and improved output benefit. The output of fresh mustard tuber is about 2 500 kg, and the average benefit per 667 m2 can reach 5 000 yuan. According to four batches of watermelons harvested in long season, the yield of 667 m2 is about 4 000 kg, and the output value is about 8 000 yuan.

Specific precautions are as follows:

First, planting stubble and seasonal arrangement. Fresh pickled mustard tuber should be sown in late September, in late June of 65438+1October, and harvested from the end of February to the beginning of June of 65438+1October. When the stem of tuber reaches 150 d, watermelon in greenhouse should be sown in late February.1mid-October to February. After that, the watermelon will be harvested every 1 month 1 batch, and 4-5 batches can be harvested continuously, and the harvest will end at the beginning of1October. This model makes full use of chemical fertilizer. After watermelon harvest, mustard tuber is planted without chemical fertilizer, which reduces the input of agricultural materials and obviously increases the economic benefits.
