My daughter is 9 years old and in the fourth grade of primary school. She is clever and kind. I work in the library. Because of the convenience of work, I have been reading books on society, literature, history and ancient poetry to my daughter since she was five years old, so that she can judge things from an early age and reserve corresponding knowledge.

Some time ago, three things happened. At that moment, I deeply felt that it was good to have a daughter:

First, the daughter washes her parents' feet. During the Spring Festival, our family of three went back to their hometown of Shanxi for the Spring Festival. Our hometown is in Shanxi county, and we have many relatives. During the Spring Festival, it is popular to visit relatives' homes, pay New Year greetings and chat, thus deepening the emotional ties between relatives. On the morning of the first day of junior high school, we went to visit our relatives with gifts and didn't come back until evening. After returning home, the whole family was very tired, and they were going to sleep after washing, while the daughter went into the kitchen alone. After more than ten minutes, she called us two pots of foot washing water. It turned out that when my daughter came back, she felt tired, but she felt that mom and dad were working harder, so she quietly went to the kitchen to boil hot water and prepared to wash her feet. When my daughter brought water, I deeply felt that it was good to have a daughter.

According to the requirements of epidemic management, the community should conduct a nucleic acid test every three days. Due to the shortage of staff in grassroots communities and heavy epidemic prevention tasks, some volunteers offer their love and volunteer to provide epidemic prevention and control services for the community. During an accounting period, my daughter felt that it was very hard for these volunteers to give love to the masses in the cold winter. She discussed with me and used her pocket money to buy 100 hand warmers, 2 boxes of instant noodles and 300 masks for epidemic prevention volunteers. When my daughter gave these items to the epidemic prevention volunteers, I deeply felt that it was good to have a daughter.

Third, my daughter donated books to children in poor schools. At the beginning of March this year, the family discussed going to the school for children of migrant workers in the district to donate some clothes to their children. After the daughter learned about it, she sorted out a large bag of extracurricular books and notebooks that were not used at ordinary times, and gave them to the children of migrant workers with clothes donated together. When my daughter handed the extracurricular books to the children of migrant workers, I deeply felt that it was good to have a daughter.
