Beijing Grand View Garden Travel Guide 2020
1984, in order to shoot the TV series A Dream of Red Mansions, according to Cao Xueqin's description in A Dream of Red Mansions, a classical cultural garden, Beijing Grand View Garden, was designed and built by traditional gardening techniques. As the real location of this drama, it has attracted thousands of "fans of the Red Chamber" to the scenic spot to find and pursue the memory of the Red Chamber.

Beijing Grand View Garden is located in Nancaiyuan Garden in Xuanwu District (next to the moat in the southwest corner of Xicheng District), 5 kilometers away from Tiananmen Square. This area used to be a royal garden in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and vegetables were sent to the palace.
Today, the street on the west side of the Grand View Garden is called Nancaiyuan Street, and further north is Caiyuan Street.
Beijing Grand View Garden includes five courtyard scenic spots, three natural scenic spots, a Buddhist temple scenic spot, a temple scenic spot and more than 40 garden landscapes. The main scenic spots are winding paths leading to a secluded place, Qinfang Pavilion, Hongyi Garden of Jia Baoyu, Xiaoxiang Pavilion of Lin Daiyu, Wu Hengyuan of Baochai, Qiushuangzhai in Tanchun, Daoxiang Village of Liwan, Daguanlou, Longcui Temple, Didi Pavilion and Zi Ling Island.
What are you doing in the Grand View Garden? Just sightseeing and taking pictures? Looking for scene reappearance in TV series? Or set a place to write a sour paragraph without pulling a few friends, a decadent selfie and a pair of Daiyu? How to open the Grand View Garden correctly? If you want to appreciate its true charm, you have to look at it this way!
Every plant, tree, pavilion and scene in the Grand View Garden are full of the literary significance entrusted to them by the author. Reading and understanding poetry carefully should achieve the unity of scenery and meaning.
To understand Beijing Grand View Garden, we must first understand why Beijing Grand View Garden is closest to the original.
The "Grand View Garden" in Beijing follows this poem. In the center of this imperial city, it is really not easy to choose such a piece of land to restore the "Grand View Garden". On the other hand, the crew of that year really worked hard.
In landscape architecture, "mountain" is generally the best to do, just move stones to make it. The difficulty lies in water, because it is necessary to divert water into the park.
But this place used to be the royal garden of Ming and Qing dynasties, which happened to contain the "water" of the moat of the South Garden. To tell the truth, it is not easy to have such a place in this "city" of Beijing.
At the first sight, I was directly blocked by a rockery, and the allusion of "winding path leads to a secluded place" was reflected here.
However, bypassing the rockery suddenly opened up, and the scene in front of me unfolded in turn. The garden architecture, mountain-shaped water system, plant landscaping, indoor furnishings, sketches, etc. in the garden reproduce the elegant demeanor of the official garden in A Dream of Red Mansions written by the literary master Cao Xueqin.
This is also a response to the sentence "Everything in the world is ready". At the end of this "Grand View Garden", Yuan Chun also pointed out that the name of this provincial garden should be "Grand View Garden".
It is actually very difficult to understand the Grand View Garden, even though I have been there many times and have experienced it with various documents. So I only tell you these traces, which should be understandable in the context.
The location of Xiaoxiang Pavilion is still easy to find. When you enter the door and bypass the rockery, you will know that Xiaoxiang Pavilion has arrived when you see a piece of bamboo protruding from a white wall.
This song "Windy Lion" was written by Baoyu to the Xiaoxiang Pavilion where Daiyu lived. Xiaoxiang Pavilion is a guest house with architectural style in the south of the Yangtze River, which can also be said to be specially built for Daiyu. In the poem, Baoyu called Daiyu's stay "Xiuyu", just in line with the color reflected by the green bamboo forest in Xiaoxiang Pavilion. The houses in Xiaoxiang Pavilion are mostly decorated with bamboo, and the whole yard is lush with jade, and the business is booming. Even in this winter solstice season, it is the most dynamic place in the whole Grand View Garden.
The name of Xiaoxiang Pavilion was originally quoted from Shun's second concubine Xiaoxiang, and the allusions of E Huang and Nv Ying. The phrase "Be kind to Phoenix" also proves Daiyu's position in Baoyu's heart and among the twelve women in Jinling.
This was chosen by Daiyu when she was ordered by Yuan Chun to live in the Grand View Garden, because "I love those bamboos, and I feel quieter than other places". Bamboo is the most abundant in Xiaoxiang Pavilion. "The poles are green and dripping, all green and cool."
Bamboo symbolizes indomitable and valuable quality, with elegance in nobility and vitality.
When the wind blows, you must stand on the winding path and feel "Don't shake the broken shadow, the beautiful dream has just begun to grow." The beauty of. Although Daiyu finally lived a miserable life of bamboo cultivation, poetry, bitterness, loneliness and tears here.
More importantly, the whole poem "Windy Lion" is almost integrated with the temperament of Xiaoxiang Pavilion and Daiyu in the dream. Bamboo is slender, just like Lin Daiyu's slender figure and weak willow gait. Bamboo does not associate with the crowd, and it is always beautiful and simple. This is in line with Lin Daiyu's indifferent and heavy makeup, lofty and aloof personality.
Don't worry about taking pictures when you go to Xiaoxiang Pavilion. You'd better stand in the deep bamboo forest, experience your feelings first, and see if you can feel Daiyu's sadness.
Hongyiyuan is easier to find. Baoyu's residence is directly opposite the Xiaoxiang Pavilion, and there is a "Qin Fang Pavilion" in the middle, which you can see in the past. (As the saying goes, a nun is next to the monk temple, and something will happen sooner or later ... Mr. Cao, you really decorate the room like this.
Qin Fang Pavilion
When Baoyu tried to get the right amount, he wrote "Red Fragrant Green Jade", which means two plants, dumpling soup. During the Lantern Festival, Yuan Chun didn't like the word "Xiangyu" (because it implied Daiyu), so he changed it to "Hongyi Kuaiqing", named it "Hongyi Academy" and named Baoyu "Hongyi Gongzi".
Don't think that "Hongyi" will feel very girly to boys, but Baoyu hates men! People get sick at the sight of men, so they like to play with their little sisters.
Green wax, Baoyu originally wrote "green jade", Baochai was afraid of blowing up Yuan Chun's heart, so she changed it to green wax and wrote the Tang poem "Cold candle smokeless green wax dried".
It can be seen that Daiyu is everywhere between the lines of our "Baoyu", and I can't wait to fly over Qin Fang Pavilion and live in Xiaoxiang Pavilion!
This whole Yi Hong Yuan, like the whole poem, is full of Baoyu's literary thoughts and talents.
As soon as I entered the main entrance of Yi Justin, I saw the begonia plantain written in three or four sentences in the poem, standing in the atrium with one left and one right. Although they withered, it is not difficult to imagine their beauty in spring and midsummer.
The last sentence of the poem is "in the east wind of opposition, the master should be merciful." It seems that the red of begonia and the green of banana are opposite in the east wind, which makes people fondle it. Actually, I think these two plants refer to Baoyu and Daiyu.
Because it is the middle of winter, I really feel the quietness of "deep pavilions and long days". Located in the South Second Ring Road, standing in the center of Hongyi Garden, looking up at the sky, there are no tall buildings. Quiet and unknown birds can stop on the low branches and let our lens take a clear picture.
We have a good look at the deep pavilion, but we can't see the flowers blooming by Chanjuan.
Cloister of Yikangyuan
Go to the cloister of Yi Hong Yuan and experience the rare tranquility of the Imperial Capital and the gentleness of this Yi Hong Yuan ~
This yard is located in the upper right corner of the Grand View Garden.
"Garden" originally refers to the emperor's courtyard, and Daguan Garden is named after "Garden", which is famous for all kinds of herbs and vines and is the residence of Xue Baochai.
The overall scenery of this Wu Heng garden is only the first two sentences in the poem. It is strongly recommended that you go to Wu Heng Garden to enjoy the fun of spring, otherwise you will not see Wu Heng and smell the fragrance.
Heng, vanilla name. Zhiben is also a vanilla name, but in combination with the context, it should refer to Xiangnuo. Clear powder means fragrance. The couplets in Wang Fuzhi's Xiangxi Caotang are: Zhixiang Shui Yuan San Lv Township and Lu Wu Xiangxi Caotang.
The last two sentences of Xie Lingyun's "Climbing the pond upstairs" say: "Spring grass grows in the long pond, and willows turn into songbirds." People say that the two words of spiritual luck are obtained in dreams, so they are fresh, natural and full of vitality, and have always been appreciated by poetic theorists. In doing so, Baoyu also echoed his own couplet "Sleeping full of dreams".
■ In front of Wu Heng Garden, winding paths lead to secluded places and there are many strange rocks.
It is said that you can feel a little Taoist spirit when you visit this Wu Heng garden.
But in my opinion, the scenery here, its elegance, is worse than its elegance. This "elegance" also corresponds to Baochai's word "elegance", reaching a realm of unity of meaning and scenery.
When visiting Wu Heng Garden, you must carefully feel its sense of "elegance".
Daoxiang Village, also known as Huange Villa (named after Yuan Chun), is Li Wan's residence.
What distinguishes Daoxiang Village from other buildings in Grand View Garden is its richness and luxury. The rural farmhouses here are simple, which once attracted Jia Zheng to "return to agriculture". Because the poem Apricot Curtain in Sight, written by Daiyu instead of Baoyu, won Yuan Fei's heart, she took the meaning of "Ten Miles of Daoxiang" in her poem and changed "Huange Villa" to "Daoxiang Village".
Outside the courtyard of Daoxiang Village, you can see Xinglin. I don't know if the apricot trees planted by landscape designers with this poem are bare, but it is also a kind of imagination space for everyone.
The second sentence of the poem is a classic. The phrase "Wild geese in the water, Sang Yu swallow beam" constructs a vivid picture. To say that the swallows really didn't see it, but there were quite a few magpies. This is extremely rare. Don't forget to look up at the sky when you go to Daoxiang Village again.
It is not difficult to see that the right side of the photo is really a bare field. Although bare, you can also see some traces of reclamation. It is not difficult to substitute "green leeks in one spring and rice flowers in ten miles". In artistic conception. In addition, the whole courtyard is different from other courtyards in the Grand View Garden, and all of them use low hedge walls, which has such a strong contrast in the magnificent official garden of the Grand View Garden, which is in line with the poem "No need to plow and weave in prosperous times". This last sentence is a slightly humorous rhetorical question.
The inadaptability of Daoxiang Village in this garden just reflects the real corner in this prosperous time, which is worth pondering.
Next time you come, you can try to stand in the center of this small courtyard and see if you can feel a feeling of pure land. Of course, it's also good to see those swallows and magpies.
