Guilin is very commercialized What's it like to be transformed?

I had heard many people talking about Guilin before I came to Guangxi. In my impression, it was actually my imagination. Guilin should be antique, elegant and beautiful: the ancient narrow streets are covered with tall and dense osmanthus trees, and there are rows of antique on both sides of the streets. Through the wooden building, you can see the picturesque Lijiang River, which is as smooth as a mirror. Several small awning boats slowly passed by, and faint and sweet songs came from the river, reflecting the lush green hills on both sides. ...

However, Guilin in front of us is a different scene-a scene that only newly industrialized cities have. There are tall buildings, wide roads, crowded people and cars everywhere, and huge color billboards can be seen everywhere. Such a sight is too familiar to me, but it seems strange to Guilin in my imagination.

Guilin has developed, with more roads, more bridges, more shopping malls and hotels. The brand-new look shows that the city is heading for the era of industrialization, which should not be a bad thing, but in the eyes of many people, it is a loss. Compared with wooden buildings and blue tiles, the loss of cultural charm is self-evident, and the hustle and bustle of business makes this contrast particularly clear.

However, let's not worry about Guilin's culture as alarmist, because through several conversations with local people, I found that most of them have a positive attitude towards this change. The reason is easy to understand. Living in an economically underdeveloped city for a long time, no matter how beautiful the scenery is, it is hard to make people feel comfortable.

Moreover, although Guilin is famous for its tourism, in the eyes of local people, the direct contribution of tourism to the economy is actually very small, accounting for only a small part of its underdeveloped tertiary industry. Of course, this refers to direct contribution.

In recent years, Guilin's economy has greatly improved, and its dependence on industry has become greater. Although there are not many well-known enterprises that can be counted, the local people are still very optimistic about the development of industry. When it comes to several enterprises with good economic benefits, such as Liquan Beer, Daewoo Bus and Sanjin Pharmaceutical, Guilin people often look proud and envious.

Anyway, tourism is the most prominent characteristic industry in Guilin, so I went to interview as planned. Unfortunately, they were about to hold a city-wide tourism work conference in those days, and no one received them. So my interview was actually completed by telephone conversation in another city. According to the interview, the informatization construction of Guilin tourism industry not only started earlier in China, but also the overall construction situation is acceptable. This so-called "past" is actually compared with the overall economic situation of Guilin and Guangxi, but there is still a certain gap compared with developed regions. For example, there is no electronic equipment that introduces tourist attractions, hotels, transportation, etc. In the urban area, even the posted road map is hard to see, which is a pity for a well-known tourist city.

Not only informationization, but also the overall development level of Guilin tourism resources needs to be improved. Take Guilin as an example. Up to now, the main way to attract tourists is "three mountains, two caves and one river". The development of new scenic spots and the construction of related ancillary facilities are obviously insufficient. Especially in winter and spring, the water level of the Lijiang River drops a lot during the dry season, leaving less than one third of the river surface, which greatly reduces the ornamental value. At this time, there should be other ornamental and entertaining projects to "replace" it and retain tourists. The reporter walked along the river bank for a long time and found no such facilities. Taxi drivers in Guilin also reported that although there are only more than 2,000 taxis in the city, it is difficult to do business in the off-season of tourism.

If the tourism resources are not fully developed, the urban economy will not be promoted quickly. Perhaps this is the reason why Guilin should turn to developing industrial and commercial services.

The development of industry and information construction is an unavoidable hurdle. The reporter learned that at present, in addition to several key enterprises such as Liquan, Daewoo and Sanjin, other enterprises in Guilin are not only small in scale, but also have poor benefits, which will inevitably lead to insufficient investment in information construction. At the same time, the development strength of the local IT industry, especially the software industry, is also slightly lacking. Although there are many universities and research institutes in Guilin, and they are old electronic industry bases, they should have a strong foundation of talent and industry accumulation, but the actual situation is not very optimistic. The reporter learned in Guilin Economic and Technological Development Zone (one of the 53 national development zones in China) that although the annual economic income of the development zone has reached more than10 billion, it is nearly half less than the national average. The software park here has just started construction, and it obviously takes time to form a certain climate.

Generally speaking, the change in Guilin is a good phenomenon, and it is better to change than not to change, which is the requirement of social development and progress. Therefore, no matter what doubts people have about it, change will always bring some vitality, and more importantly, it will drive people's ideological changes. The reporter was deeply touched by this when interviewing Liquan Beer.

Feel the informatization of Liquan

As far as residents' living habits are concerned, people in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and other places along the southeast coast are not addicted to drinking, not only spirits, but also beer. However, in such a region with low alcohol consumption, there is a large beer producer with an annual output ranking among the top 10 in China, which is Yanjing Beer Guilin Liquan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Liquan).

The predecessor of Liquan Co., Ltd. is Guilin Liquan Brewery, which is an old enterprise in the local area. Until now, Guilin people have habitually called it Guilin Liquan, intentionally or unintentionally omitting the words "Yanjing Beer" in front of it. No wonder Guilin Liquan hooked up with Yanjing Beer Group only a year or two ago. In 2002, Yanjing Beer bought 68% shares of Guilin Liquan with a capital of more than 200 million yuan, becoming the largest shareholder, and its output and output value increased rapidly. Previously, Guilin Liquan, like many local small wineries in China, was in a difficult situation in the harsh market competition.

Interestingly, there are two major beer brands in Guangxi at present: Wan Li in Nanning and Liquan. Judging from the current market situation, Liquan occupies an absolute advantage, with a market share as high as 78%; Therefore, Wan Li's share is squeezed very little, and it can only be on an equal footing with some brands outside the region.

In fact, the two brands of Guangxi beer have been controlled by two domestic beer giants (Qingdao and Yanjing) respectively, which can no longer be regarded as local enterprises. In the past few years, the two giants have fought to the death all over China. Tsingtao beer started early and has always been in the upper hand. Guangxi is the "Waterloo" it rarely encounters. It is said that Tsingtao Brewery had contact with Liquan, but somehow it didn't work out, but Yanjing got it. This experience is not elegant so far, and the reporter's attention is still focused on information construction.

At the beginning of the interview, I found a strange phenomenon: generally speaking, the information departments of enterprises are "self-reliant", which is the so-called information center. Even if it is downgraded, it is mostly under the enterprise management department or technology center. However, the information technology department of Liquan shares merged with the finance department, and the person in charge of information technology is also the vice minister of finance. His name is Jiang Shouxu.

Next, there are even more strange things. First of all, the information department of Liquan Co., Ltd. not only has no independent office space, but also has no "name". All personnel are counted as people in the finance department; Secondly, Jiang Shouxu's business card is not only printed with software engineers and senior programmers, but also with "accounting"; The biggest point is that Jiang Shouxu's two college students were recruited only last year. A few years ago, all the information work in Liquan was actually done by Jiang Shouxu alone.

Of course, this can be attributed to the low investment and poor construction level of the enterprise in the initial stage of informatization construction, but it is an enterprise with an annual output of tens of thousands of tons (early stage) to hundreds of thousands of tons. Obviously, it is hard to imagine that it is supported by only one person, which has aroused my great interest.

Jiang Shouxu said that in fact, his major in university is enterprise management, and he only engages in computer and software technology research in his spare time. 1996 when he entered the factory, he was assigned to engage in informatization. At that time, there was only one Great Wall 0520 computer in the whole factory, which was only used for typing documents, and the financial operation was still manual.

At that time, the most urgent problem in the informatization construction of Liquan Beer was financial statements, so in 1997, Jiang Shouxu started computerization on the basis of UFIDA inventory sales software. "UFIDA's software is universal and not practical in our factory. I spent a year on secondary development. In the end, UFIDA only has one billing function, and I actually did 90% of the work. " This is Jiang Shouxu's first achievement, which has been used by the company for several years.

Through development, Jiang Shouxu also developed a strong interest in accounting. After a period of hard self-study, he only passed the exam once and got the accounting certificate.

After solving the problem of financial application, Jiang Shouxu began to engage in inventory, marketing, OA, website construction and so on. Liquan Brewery has 9 offices in the area and 6 offices outside the area. Jiang Shouxu carefully designed and connected them all with light to build a VPN.

Great achievements have been made, but Jiang Shouxu said that before Liquan was acquired by Yanjing, he was actually very confused. A person's "one-on-one" is obviously lacking in confidence. Many of his ideas can't be realized, and he feels that his ability can't be exerted and he is depressed.

In 2002, the renamed Liquan shares openly recruited 7 middle-level positions, and more than 60 people signed up. Jiang Shouxu won the second place in the total score and became the deputy director of the finance department. The following year, the company recruited two new people for the information department. At this time, Jiang Shouxu was in a good mood and he began to boldly conceive the next development.

In fact, I don't quite understand Jiang Shouxu's complacency, because with his outstanding level and ability, any software company can't wait to open the door for him when he goes to Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou, where he can not only get higher profits, but also give full play to his talents.

I was going to tell him the idea at that time, but then I thought about it and held back. I am worried that for him personally, the future may be brighter, but for the enterprise, it is a great loss. In an area with a weak information base, talents are undoubtedly more scarce and important than other places. Believe this truth, Jiang Shouxu has long thought about anti-corruption.

In 2003, Liquan shares surpassed Sanjin Pharmaceutical for the first time and became the enterprise with the highest profit and tax in Guilin. It was also from this year that the information construction of Liquan was completely new.
