Is there anything about domestic animation that makes you feel wrong?

I am a hardcore anime fan, but to my disappointment, domestic animation seems not to be on the same level as Japanese animation. Our domestic animation is really so bad that we can’t bear to look at it. Even if we maintain an optimistic attitude, no matter from which aspect we look at it, our domestic animation still has a long way to go.

The shortcomings of domestic animation are very obvious, that is, they are too short or too long, and the plot settings are far less rich than Japanese comics. There are many other places that make me feel very uncomfortable, so I will share them with you.

First of all, Chinese animation should have Chinese characteristics and should not be thought of as imitating animation from other countries. Plagiarism does not bring any benefits. For example, "Big Fish and Begonia" released this year is suspected of plagiarism. Its painting style is similar to that of Hayao Miyazaki. Except for the Chinese style of clothes, other parts are full of Japanese comics. I really don’t know whether to be happy or sad.

Our country’s technology is not bad, but what we lack is the true passion and understanding of animation. Compared with Japanese animation, domestic animation has a younger age. In fact, the production technology of many Japanese animations is also very simple, and the biggest difference is the content.

The reason why short animations with fun content such as "Rampage Comics" and "One Hundred Thousand Bad Jokes" are popular is related to the high pressure of modern people. After reading and laughing, the pressure can be released. Original animation is very marketable, because video is a reading medium that more and more people like in modern times.

Furthermore, our animation is not only for "children", but also for adults. Don't be biased against animation and think that it is a tool to coax children.

As a person born in the 1990s, my interest in domestic animation is limited to "Journey to the West" and "Legend of Nezha". After that, it is really difficult for us to produce decent works. The reason why these anime are called classics is because their characters and plots are more reasonable and fuller.

However, current animation is too commercialized and the marketing model is not good, so the development of Chinese comics has become very slow. And due to various reasons, the development time of Chinese comics was very short, and we were not able to get a good "nurturing environment". This is also the ultimate reason for our "poorness".

In our country, animation is not as perfectly integrated into our lives as in Japan. This is caused by our education system. We are not well exposed to animation every day, and even parents regard animation as an influence on learning. The main culprit, how can we in China despise animation so much?
