The colorful Danxia Mountain in Zhangye has a wide range, different scales and various types. The two most distinctive scenic spots are Le Kang Township in Sunan County, Binggou Danxia Scenic Spot in Baiyin Township and Colorful Danxia Scenic Spot in Nijiaying Township in Linze County. The distance between the two scenic spots is about12km, which belongs to the jurisdiction of two counties.

Colorful Danxia Scenic Area mainly has four observation platforms, in which there are buses.

Six Danxia landform scenic spots, including Liangshan in Hunan, Danxia Mountain in Guangdong, Taining in Fujian, Chishui in Guizhou, Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi and Jiang Lang in Zhejiang, have jointly declared the World Natural Heritage and achieved success.
