Girls living in the south want to go back to the north to develop
After reading this, I hope it will be helpful to you.
I originally wanted to go to Shenzhen, but because of my husband, I came to Nanchang. Let’s talk about Nanchang!
In fact, I have wanted to talk about this city and life in this city for a long time. I hope it can be a reference for some outsiders coming here. Let me introduce myself first. I am from Fushun, Liaoning Province. Because of my husband, I came to this strange city on August 12, 2007. More than a year has passed, and now it is very likely that I will stay in this city for a long time. I really want to share my stuff about this city with you all!
Before I came here, my husband told me that I have to adapt to the weather in the south. There is no heating in the house in winter. Haha, I thought that no matter how cold it was, it would be colder than in the north, but later I really paid a small price. The price is small (it was the first time in my life that I went to get a diaphragm injection, and it cost more than 600 yuan in one night. Medical treatment in the south is no joke. All money is spent.) Well, let’s start from the beginning.
After coming to this city, the first thing I did was to find a job to support myself. My husband’s family had no connections, so I had to work hard on everything. When I first came here, I was worried about whether I would be able to find a job here. Like at home, I had to find connections for everything, but then I thought about it since there was no connection, so I had to bite the bullet and go for it, because I am an accountant, have an accounting qualification certificate, and I also have work experience at home. But if you want to work as an accountant or cashier in a large company or bank here, you must have a local household registration. Because my husband and I plan to officially get married next year, there is no way to get the household registration. Therefore, I interviewed with several large companies, and originally negotiated with them. The land was fine, but because of the household registration issue, I didn't succeed, and I lost confidence in myself for a while. Fortunately, my husband kept comforting me, saying that it was not my problem, it was the household registration issue, it didn't matter..., and then I had to find a family. I work as an accountant and warehousing company in a private electric vehicle store. The boss is from Zhejiang, but he is a bit perverted, but he is actually quite nice. Everyone knows that there are no guarantees or benefits in a private store, but since it was my first time in a strange city, I needed to adapt as soon as possible, so I tolerated it starting from 800 yuan. Fortunately, the boss’s wife thought I was pretty capable every month. I added some money and finally raised it to about 1,200. I did this for about half a year. Mainly because I was a little lazy and I was discouraged from finding a job some time ago, so I continued to work here until May 2008. I even had an electric car next door. The bosses of the car said that I am still a northern girl who can endure hardships. It is not easy for a girl with education and experience to work here for such a long time. In fact, they don’t know that I am also a little lazy sometimes. Every morning at 8 o’clock I work part-time and get off work around 5 p.m., pack a lunch, finish my accounts and put all the products in the computer library, and there is almost nothing else to do. I can still chat with the boss lady, and go out to buy snacks on the way. So when life is leisurely, people become lazy. (Actually, I don’t have high requirements for money.)
During this period, I also took the civil service exam twice with the encouragement of my husband. I never took the exam when I was in my hometown. It’s not that I didn’t want to. Back home, I always heard from relatives that only civil servants with connections can get into the job. How many people in Liaoning are waiting for these positions. So don't want to waste money. But after arriving here, my husband said how would he know if he didn’t try it? So he helped me buy reference books and encouraged me, saying: "Relationships are relative. If you are very capable, you can still get admitted." I applied once for a program directly under the central government and once for a program in Jiangxi Province. The result was I was only on the national line, which was a bit embarrassing, but I saved a lot of money. I actually got an interview opportunity. I was so excited that I made a long-distance call to my home for more than an hour. Of course, I didn’t pass the interview in the end. In fact, I didn’t pass the interview. It’s probably because I wasn’t sufficiently prepared.
In May of this year, it was the day when the Olympic torch passed through Nanchang. After watching the torch relay, Lao Qiao and I passed the Donghu District Employment Guidance Center in Nanchang City and saw a banner hanging above that Telecom was recruiting people. I impulsively applied for a job, and after several selections, I was admitted. (Here are my friends who went to Nanchang to look for jobs. One is at the Nanchang Talent Market on Zigu Road, and the other is on Erqi Road. The Jiangxi Talent Market and the center I just mentioned are actually pretty good. It’s free to find a job. Regardless of whether you’re from out of town or local, as long as you register, you’ll have opportunities. There are banks, telecommunications, mobile phones, etc., of course. Strict selection must be carried out after the interview.
)
After entering the telecommunications industry, the job I did was not in line with my major. I was working as a number teller. Fortunately, I stayed in Nanchang for more than half a year. With my husband as my tour guide, I was familiar with many streets and alleys in Nanchang. I am very familiar with it and can understand Nanchang dialect. So it’s okay to do 114. Let me talk about it here. Sometimes large units are more formal. When you look for a job in the future, it is best to go to a large unit. Our general probation period is 3 months, but if you do well, you can become a regular in 1 month. Because of my performance, Not bad, I became a full-time employee within a month. It is said that there were several people who were related to so-and-so but did not become a full-time employee. There was also one who was a child of a telecom employee. Later, these people left angrily. The reason was that they died before becoming a full-time employee. It’s only a pitiful 500 yuan a month, which is lower than Nanchang’s minimum living allowance. After I became a full-time employee, I signed a two-year labor contract. With insurance, everything gradually improved. The salary was still not high, but the benefits were okay. For example, I was often given some phone cards to make long-distance calls home. Save a lot. What made me most happy was that I gave away some shopping coupons for supermarkets. Hehe, I really like shopping in supermarkets. So for me, ho ho... Of course, it’s not that easy in a large unit. Everything has to be done according to regulations, and studies, meetings, etc. are often organized. But what I am more satisfied with is that there are at least one person a month. 7 or 8 days of rest is not bad haha.
Let’s talk about the people of Nanchang. Before I came to the south, I thought that the southerners were very stingy and not generous. After coming here for more than a year, this is sometimes true. Both boys and girls are a bit petty. Many local male and female friends in Nanchang are very clear about their finances when going out. My husband said that Guangdong and Shanghai are more powerful than Nanchang. But it can be said that there are good people and bad people everywhere. When I came here, I didn’t have many friends. They were all my husband’s friends. After I called, I also have some colleagues and friends of my own. What should I say? Maybe I'm lucky. Nanchang people feel good to me. Sometimes I see many people saying bad things about Nanchang people in bars. As a foreigner, I don't have much say, but I have lived in Nanchang for more than a year and have come into contact with many people. It can be said that most Nanchang locals, including my husband, are pretty nice and kind. Of course, taxi drivers are sometimes bad, especially those at train stations. But one time I met a sister who moved me very much.
Let’s talk about consumer prices and entertainment in Nanchang. When I was in school in Shenyang, my favorite thing was to visit Wal-Mart. When I arrived in Nanchang, my interest was brought here. In addition to Wal-Mart in Nanchang, the closest place to home is Wal-Mart. Prices in supermarkets such as Hongkelong, BBK, and Dazhong Shopping Center are a bit more expensive than at home, especially apples, which sometimes cost 4 or 5 yuan per catty. This is for someone like me who loves apples. It’s a bit unbearable for northerners. By the way, there is a newly opened Hongcheng Building supermarket in Honggutan. It is also big and the goods are very cheap. Apples are 1 yuan 88 per pound. Hehe, they are also from Red Fuji. I don’t have a lot of money, unlike many girls here who like to go to bars at night. My husband and I don’t go to such places very often. By the way, there are quite a few bars in Nanchang. In the past, CD1925, BABYface, etc. I often hear my husband’s friends mention it. My husband led me to prefer singing, traveling, or eating good food to bars. The places to sing in Nanchang include: Qiangui, Fangtang, Shangge, Decca, Very Men and Women, etc. Most of them are relatively expensive, especially at night. More than 100 per hour is normal, and there are hundreds more per night. There are a lot of them, but I like this one and go there often, but there are some clubs and golden aircraft carriers that we ordinary people can’t consume. As for snacks, if you come to Nanchang from outside, Nanchang Fried Noodles, Shuizhu (a variation of Oden and Malatang, cheap and delicious) and Jijihong Hot Pot Restaurant are must-go places. I think these are Nanchang specialties. . In addition, some specialty snack bars are also good. The steakhouse I often go to is Premium Steak, and of course high-end steakhouses have been to it a few times. There is also a salsa steak on Zhongshan Road that is also okay. There are also dog meat shops. I have been to both sides of Zhongshan Bridge and Beijing West Road. The taste is different and worth a visit.
As for Western food coffee shops, the Green Pavilion and Dior should be the characteristics of Nanchang. The decoration is good. This is what my husband taught me. He said that eating in the south should pay attention to style. I rarely paid attention to it in the north. In addition, it is more like a big hotel. The most affordable ones are Guoqiao Rice Noodles, folk restaurants, and Jade Rabbit Restaurant. Generally, 7 or 8 people can get it for around 400 to 500 yuan. It is also a relatively affordable restaurant in Nanchang, provided that you drink less, but the biggest feature of the South is that the plates are beautiful and the amount of food is N Few, and southerners also like to drink soup. Nanchang’s crock pot soup is their favorite for breakfast. It is a good choice to drink soup and eat rice noodles. Generally, 3 to 4 yuan can be spent in the morning. There are also Yonghe soy milk, Chain stores such as Da Niang Dumplings are very popular here. It turns out that southerners also love to eat dumplings sometimes. It's just that the dumplings are still expensive for us northerners, and the portions are small. There are also people in the south who drink more beer and less liquor when eating. What I mean is that they drink less liquor than those in the north.
Finally, let’s talk about the fun things in Nanchang. If you come to travel, there are several places you may go. First, Bayi Square, which has historical significance and is also the center of Nanchang, so you have to come. Second, Tengwang Pavilion, from which you can see the old city and new city of Nanchang, and of course the Ganjiang River. It feels good. The ticket is only 50, so think about it yourself. Third, the August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall is also a historically significant thing. Dong, it’s free now, no regrets. hehe. Fourth, Qiushui Square is located in Honggutan, Xincheng District, Nanchang. It would be a pity not to go there. It feels like a more unique place. After my husband and I went there last summer, we went to the beach below and stepped on it. My husband said it felt a bit like Dalian. I think the sea feels better than Dalian. Dalian Laohutan has many rocks and the sea is dark. It feels better here. Of course, it would be good for couples to go there in summer. There is also the Ferris wheel, just take bus No. 17 to the terminal. It is good to experience the largest Ferris wheel in Asia for 50 yuan. There was a carnival here last year, but it seems that there is no one this year. Distant places such as Changchun Lake Scenic Area and Hongya Danjing are good choices. Of course, the premise is that you are in a good mood. If you are not in a good mood, you will not be able to go anywhere. If you are not from Jiangxi, you can also go to Lushan, Jinggangshan, Sanqingshan, and Wuyuan through Nanchang. They are all good choices, but I personally prefer Sanqingshan and Wuyuan, haha!
In fact, Nanchang has caught up with the country’s good policies in recent years and has developed relatively quickly. Many people from the north come here to work. I know several of them, especially the Cantonese, Jiangsu and Zhejiang people here. Many, they all come to start a business and become bosses, but there are not many bosses of the Liaoning team here, at least I haven’t met a few. I hope there will be more and more in the future. It would be nice for all the Northeasterners to have someone to take care of them, haha! In fact, as long as you work hard, you will get better and better! Okay, that’s all. I have to go to work in the afternoon. I will post some photos of Nanchang when I have time to share with my friends who are coming to Nanchang! I hope it will be of some help to northerners coming to the south.
