Check the network problem first. Open the system settings page, select "Wireless and Networks", check "wifi" and confirm that you are connected to wifi and other programs can access the Internet normally.

If you are using a carrier network, check whether mobile data is enabled and other programs can access the Internet normally.

Clear WeChat data. Open "Settings", then select "Applications", "Manage Applications", and "WeChat". After opening the page, click the "Clear Data" button in the interface to clear WeChat user data.

Open WeChat again, switch to the fourth tab, and click the "Clear Chat History" button on this page to clear WeChat's personal chat history, as shown in the figure.

If the above method does not work, perform the operation of uninstalling WeChat. Then consider the version issue! Go into the folder and directly delete the first folder in the TENCENT directory and the MICROMSG directory (which is an N-long folder name composed of numbers and letters), then reinstall it, and everything will return to normal, including I tested everything from sending and receiving videos to group movies, and everything worked fine.

In addition, it may be very slow to delete directly from the mobile phone. At least it took me more than ten minutes to delete it here. I later connected it to the computer and used USB mode to delete it directly. There are some files in this folder. Picture information such as user avatars will be automatically downloaded again in the online address book after reinstallation, so there should be no impact.
