Jingxian County, Hengshui City

Jingxian county governs 10 towns and 6 townships: Jingzhou Town, Longhua Town, Guang Chuan Town, Wangtong Town, Yuanhe Town, Anling Town, duqiao town, wang qian Temple Town, Beiliuzhi Town, Liuzhimiao Town, Liuji Township, Lian Zhen Township, Jiliang Township and Wencheng Town, which were later named as Fuxiang Township and Qinglan Township.

Jingxian County is located in the southeast of Hebei Province, on the west bank of the Grand Canal. It governs 849 administrative villages in 9 towns and 7 townships, with a total area of 1 183 square kilometers. The county is dustpan-shaped, and gradually inclines from southwest to northeast. The highest point is 25m above sea level, and the lowest point is14.1m. It is a warm temperate semi-humid continental climate with four distinct seasons and abundant sunshine. The average annual temperature is 12.5℃, and the average annual precipitation is 554 mm. Jingxian County is a national commodity grain base county, which is listed as a commodity grain base county, a high-quality cotton base county, an ammoniated straw cattle raising demonstration county, a water-saving irrigation demonstration county and a plain greening standard county. Agricultural production conditions are good, and soil, climate, light, temperature, precipitation and other aspects are suitable for crop growth. Mechanized farming has been basically realized in the county, and crops with corn and wheat as the main varieties have been harvested year after year.

The total population of the county is 495,000, including 449,600 agricultural population, accounting for 9 1.7% of the total population.
