How to divide China into North China, East China, Northeast China, South China, Central China, Southwest China and Northwest China?

As we all know, China has a vast territory. According to different times, different research focuses and different references, there are various ways to divide regions. The names of these areas continue the division of the six major war zones, and then subdivide each region.

From the national map, we can divide the whole country into seven regions according to its characteristics. Among them, North China refers to the area from the north of the Huaihe River Line in Qinling Mountains to the south of the Great Wall, Northeast China refers to the cold temperate zone north of North China, East China refers to the subtropical monsoon climate zone near the Yangtze River Basin, Central China refers to the middle reaches of Central China, the Yellow River Basin and the Yangtze River Basin, and South China refers to the southernmost Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong and Macao regions. Southwest refers to the southwest of Sichuan Basin, Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the west of China, and northwest refers to the inland plateau in the northwest of China.
