During the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were townships below the county level, and there were capitals, maps and villages below the townships.

During the Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty, the third and fourth capitals of Hengshan Township in Wuxian, the eighth capital of Dawu Township in Wuxian (part), the second capital of Lingyan Village in Wuxian (part) and the seventh capital of Taiping Township in Wuxian (part) merged into Hengjin.

Hengjing Street is located between 316 ′ ~12 ′ north latitude and 0/20 31′ ~ 33 ′ east longitude. The maximum distance of the whole street from east to west is 7 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 12 kilometers. Hengjing Street covers an area of 55.23 square kilometers, which is located on the east side of Taihu Lake, narrow in the north and wide in the south, showing an axe shape. There are mountains and waters in the territory, which are slightly inclined from northwest to southeast, with obvious differences in topography, from mountains to plains, from flat land to polder fields. The water network is dense in the south and sparse in the north, with shallow and narrow rivers. The layout of water network has changed since the artificial excavation of rivers in 1980s.

Yaofeng Mountain is the southern branch of Qizi Mountain (also known as Hengshan Mountain) in China, and it is a low sandstone mountain in time. This mountain range extends from west to south and east, and it is located at the southern end. The ridge on the top of the mountain grows into a strip with a peak height of 224 meters and a peak height of 206 meters. There are two kinds of rivers in Hengjing Town: natural rivers and artificial rivers. Because the terrain is slightly inclined from northwest to southeast, rivers mainly flow into Taihu Lake from Hengjingtang River, Xuanmaqiao Port, Niuyaojing, Shilubang, Yaotaihu Lake, Wang Su, Jingxinhe, Qianzhuang Port, Dulin Port, Shuangdun Port, Shajing Port and Zhangjiabang. The river network system formed by rivers in China plays the role of diversion, storage, irrigation and drainage.

Hengjingtang River, also known as Hengjintang, has a total length of 10 km. According to the Qing Dynasty's Hengjinzhi, its water comes from three sources. "It is called Huang Yang Bay in the south and Huangshu Port in the southwest. The water of Taihu Lake is stored in Huangjun Port. It starts from picking lotus wells in the east to Puzhuang and Hengjin Town, and once again flows through the territory, with a total length of 4.4 kilometers. It is called Suzhou East (Mountain) River. Among them, Huang Yang Bay, Daquekou, Huangshugang and Cailianjing are all in Jindu Village. Silica, commonly known as Yellowstone and Manshi, can be mined in the hills and mountains of Yao Feng. 1958. In 1970s and 1980s, there were many quarries in Jinxing (Majia), Hongqi (Yaonan) and Wangshan Brigade, but they basically stopped quarrying in 1990s.

Du cun-Hengjing Town hides coal mines. The upper section contains coal 14 layer, and 4 layers can be taken. There are 9 layers of coal in the lower section, and 3 layers can be mined. The buried depth of coal seam is 201~ 950m. The coal-forming conditions are good, the scale is large, and the reserves are about1.200 million tons, making it the largest coalfield in the coastal provinces of the south of the Yangtze River. There are many kinds of animals in China, from aquatic and terrestrial animals to birds, with abundant resources. It is mainly divided into mollusks, annelids, arthropods and chordates.

Molluscs include ampulla of China, ampulla of ear and ampulla of plow. Annelids include earthworms, leeches, leeches and nereis. Arthropods include blue shrimp, sugar shrimp, white rice shrimp, concave back crab, scorpion, silkworm and so on. Chordata animals include pigs, cows, sheep, rabbits, dogs, bats, geese and swallows. The area is rich in plant resources. Mainly divided into seed plants and fungi.

Seed plants include rice, wheat rape, green vegetables, Chinese cabbage, mustard seed, eggplant and so on. Woody plants include ginkgo, masson pine, cedar, cycad, cypress, cypress and so on; Fungal plants mainly include auricularia, tremella, mushrooms, Flammulina velutipes, Volvariella volvacea and so on.
