Yanchiwan is located in Qilian Mountain, southeast of Subei Mongolian Autonomous County, Gansu Province, upstream of Danghe River, Shule River and Yulin River. Its geographical coordinates are 38 26' ~ 39 52' north latitude and 95 21'~ 9710' east longitude, and it belongs to desert nature reserve. Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve has a total area of 6.5438+0.36 million hectares, an experimental area of 6.584 million hectares, a buffer area of 280,000 hectares and a core area of 4.265438+0.6 million hectares.

Gansu Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve is located at the western end of Qilian Mountain on the northern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, southeast of Subei Mongolian Autonomous County, with an average elevation of more than 3,000 meters. It is a super-large wildlife nature reserve that mainly protects rare wild animals such as white-lipped deer, wild yak and Tibetan gazelle.
