When the Mongolian army was on the Western Expedition, the obedient Genghis Khan Qiu Chuji, facing the reality that his old age was approaching, learned from his counselor Lu Ye Chucai that Qiu Chuji really had real talent and learning, and decided to send an invitation. Facing the kind invitation, Qiu Chuji couldn't refuse, so she had to go.

Of course, Qiu Chuji went to the Western Regions to see Genghis Khan for his own purposes. He tried to influence Genghis Khan's "truce and peace" and persuade Genghis Khan to return to the army as soon as possible.

Living "immortal"

He deeply felt that this was extremely disproportionate to the purpose of Quanzhen Taoism, so he suggested: "If you want to unify the world, you must care about not killing people."

Genghis Khan, though eager to know the way of longevity in his heart, felt that Qiu Chuji had a point and nodded his head. Qiu Chuji went on to say: "The art of governing the country is based on respecting heaven and loving the people."

Genghis Khan nodded in agreement, immediately got down to business, and then asked, "Do you have any elixir for me?" Qiu Chuji said, "There is only one way to keep healthy, which can make people live longer. There has never been an elixir of life. " Then, for example, Qiu Chuji said: "Qin Shihuang, who unified China, wanted to live forever and only lived for 50 years;" Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, who opened the Silk Road from Chang 'an to the Roman Empire in Europe, was superstitious about the elixir of life and took it, but only lived to be 70 years old. "

Qiu Chuji said with emotion: "Most short-lived people don't know the way of hygiene." Genghis Khan asked, "What is the way of hygiene?" Qiu Chuji explained: "It is important to get rid of distractions, reduce selfish desires and maintain peace of mind." Qiu Chuji's point of view, although not contradictory to the reality of Genghis Khan's voyage to the West, touched Genghis Khan's heart every word.

So Genghis Khan said with passion, "You are a God-given fairy, and every truth has enlightened me."

He ordered Lu Ye Chu Cai to record Qiu Chuji's words one by one as soon as possible, so as to exhort the philosophers and generals, and give the drum and imperial edict to Qiu Chuji. He told the minister and waiter, "From now on, you are not called a fairy, but a fairy."

Don't kill anyone.

One day, Genghis Khan was hunting under a mountain and killed a wild boar. The horse lost its front hoof and dared not stand forward, so he entered the horse left and right, so he did not hunt and entered the palace.

Qiu Chuji entered the remonstrance and said, "Heaven is good for life. Now that you are old, you should go hunting less. When you fall off a horse, it is forbidden. If you dare not move forward, God will protect you. "

Genghis Khan felt very reasonable and said to the people around him, "But the immortal advised me to talk, and I will follow him in the future." Qiu Chuji said goodbye, Genghis Khan rewarded relief horses and cattle, and Qiu Chuji did not accept it.

Genghis Khan asked, "How many immortal disciples were there in the Han Dynasty?" Qiu Chuji said, "It's very crowded."

Genghis Khan ordered: "Those who answer the door should be ordered to be exempted, but they should still be given imperial edicts and use royal treasures."

On the way to the Great Snow Mountain, Qiu Chuji saw the places where the Mongols had traveled on the Western Expedition, and there were bodies everywhere. He wrote two poems for Genghis Khan. One of the poems wrote: "A man covered his nose with a corpse and drowned in a stream, which made me feel hurt. After ten years in Wan Li, I will return to the army sooner or later and hope for peace. " His poems and feelings are known to Genghis Khan, and it is not clear whether they played a role in urging Genghis Khan to stop his early expedition to the west and decide to divide his troops.

Soon, Genghis Khan allowed Qiu Chuji to bid farewell to his home country, instructed civil and military officials, prepared wine, food and exotic fruits, and went to see him off dozens of miles outside the city.

Who knows, the two never met again. However, the stern advice of Qiu Chuji, a real person in Changchun, always echoed in Genghis Khan's ears. Qiu Chuji returned to Yanjing and was honored as a "great master" in Taiji Palace. He was called "the master of the emperor, the godfather of the world" and was ordered to take charge of the world.

Therefore, Quanzhen Taoism can be carried forward. Genghis Khan also decreed that the palace be renamed Changchun Palace, and sent condolences. In the imperial edict, he said: "I often miss the immortal, and the immortal will never forget me."

Since Genghis Khan met with Qiu Chuji, Taoism has been further developed and the number of people has increased rapidly.
