The natural course of pinkeye is 1-4 weeks. After the treatment begins, it should be done in one go, without interruption. After the symptoms disappear completely, we should continue to treat 1 week to prevent recurrence. Eye washing can speed up recovery and needs to be done in the hospital outpatient department. When there is much secretion from the affected eye, rinse the conjunctival sac with boric acid water. If secretions appear repeatedly and frequently, the frequency can be increased to 2 ~ 3 times a day.

Eye drops are necessary. Norfloxacin eye drops are generally used (once every 0/-2 hours in acute phase), and ciprofloxacin eye ointment and other eye ointments are used at night. Traditional Chinese medicine can also be taken orally, such as Xie Fei Decoction and Yinqiao Jiedu Pill.
