To hit the Seven Buddhas, you only need to recite the Buddha wholeheartedly, and you don't need to speak. The so-called "doing the right thing". If you speak in the Buddhist prayer hall, it is' interruption'. Why do you interrupt others? Because our sentient beings are different from the Buddhas, the fundamental mechanism of "all beings are different" is also different. You monks and laymen here can not only study hard, but also lead others to study hard, so naturally they don't have to talk. But there are ordinary people who need to listen to lectures in order to lift their spirits and improve the Tao, so they must talk about it in order to help the Tao. Especially in the Dojo, people who are at the beginning don't quite understand the meaning of playing seven, but they need to speak more.

What is the purpose of playing seven? In' life and death'! If the purpose is unclear, there is no point in chanting Buddha. Ordinary people come to the temple to pray for Buddha, hoping to eliminate disasters and take refuge. It is good to seek disaster relief, but this is not the original intention of the Buddha. There is another kind of person, because now life often encounters unpleasant things; Come here to read the Buddha, pray for the blessing of the Buddha, and hope that everything will go well in the afterlife. It is ok to seek goodness in the afterlife, but it is still not the original intention of the Buddha. There is also a kind of person who finds life boring, and even if he is rich and powerful, he is not very happy; I hope I can ascend to heaven by chanting Buddha's merits. It is good to be born in the sky, but it is not the original intention of the Buddha.

Where is the original intention of the Buddha? It's killing! Why life and death? Because the cycle of life and death is a great pain! Good people in the world: Yesterday, I talked about' chanting Buddha wants students to die'; Today I'm going to talk about' reading Buddha as bodhicitta'.

If we pray for people's blessing by chanting Buddha, this is certainly not in line with the original nature of the Buddha. But if you read Buddha for your own life and death, you can only correspond to the original feelings of Buddha. What is the true nature of the Buddha? It was said yesterday that "saving life and death for all beings" is the essence of Buddha. We should pay attention to the fact that the so-called people who live for all beings and die for all beings do not ask you to abandon all beings and live for yourself and die for yourself!

Buddhism is divided into Mahayana and Hinayana: Hinayana Buddhism only saves life and death for itself, and Mahayana Buddhism is universal. The method of chanting Buddhism is Mahayana Buddhism; Not only should we live and die, but we should also let all beings live and die!

Buddhism was introduced into China, and through the efforts of the founders, ten schools of Buddhism were established. There are two kinds of Hinayana: Shicheng School and Family Photo School. However, due to the roots of our people, we don't like Hinayana, so it was soon lost. Eight Mahayana sects: Tiantai Sect, Xianshou Sect, Sanlun Sect, Faxiang Sect, Legalism Sect, Zen Sect, Tantra Sect and Pure Land Sect. Pure land Sect advocates the practice of chanting Buddha. If chanting Buddha is about "life and death are only for yourself", I am afraid it will have the same fate as Shi Chengzong, who has long been lost; We people now, since we can't smell the method of chanting Buddha, how can we recite Buddha Seven here? Fortunately, the method of chanting Buddha is the great multiplication, which can be spread all over the country and spread to this day.

But whether chanting Buddha can correspond to Mahayana Buddhism depends on how motivated you are. If Mahayana is thinking of Buddha, then thinking of Buddha is Mahayana. If you recite Buddha with a Hinayana mentality, chanting Buddha is a small multiplication. If people are inspired to read Buddha, then reading Buddha is the law between man and nature. I said yesterday that some people study Buddhism in order to become a rich and expensive person in the afterlife, so as to enjoy the joy of five desires and the happiness of the world of mortals. Or some people read Buddha to ascend to heaven and enjoy the blessings of heaven. If you meditate on Buddhism like that, the practice of chanting Buddha will become a' humanitarian law'. If you recite Buddha for your own life and death, then the method of chanting Buddha becomes a' small multiplication'. If you can recite Buddha with Mahayana mind, then the practice of Buddhism can become Mahayana! There is one way to recite Buddha, because the mind is different, and the result is not only Mahayana, but also the difference between the world and the world. It's really called' a small difference, a thousand miles away'! Since you are willing to practice Buddhism, can you not pay attention to the correctness of' initiation'?

Bodhisattva is Mahayana. The Sanskrit word "Bodhi" translates as "Tao" or "Consciousness". To be bodhi is to discover the heart of Tao. In other words: it is the heart of' all beings become buddhas'. All good people are kind! Daoyuan is going to interrupt you again today, and the topic is' Don't doubt the Buddha'. It's all about faith. If you are suspicious, you won't read Buddha. We are disciples of the Buddha, so we must believe what the Buddha said.

Our teacher, Sakyamuni Buddha, knows the process of becoming a Buddha, because he has become a Buddha himself, and he is an' experienced man'. That road is difficult to walk, and that trip to Louis has clearly told us. If we want to become a Buddha, we must first break our troubles; Only when you have exhausted your troubles can you become a Buddha. However, all beings in the world of women have a lot of troubles because they are in the realm of five evils; Due to the harsh environment, it is not easy to make progress in the trouble of breaking the game; So it is very difficult to become a Buddha! Our teacher is really compassionate, especially pointing out a particularly easy way for us, that is, chanting Buddha. You can worry constantly, but you can live in heaven first, which is called' bringing industry to life'. I was born in the west, and my environment has improved. I have worked hard, but I can't quit, so it is easy to achieve the goal of becoming a Buddha.

Nigumei, since this particularly easy-to-practice Buddhism flows from great compassion, then all beings should be born in the West; Now, however, there are very few people. What is the reason? This is because all sentient beings have deep karma and refuse to believe in Buddhism. Since they refuse to believe in Buddhism, of course they don't believe in chanting Buddhism; If you don't have faith, how can you practice?

Other worlds, other beings, leave it alone. Let's talk about human beings on this earth: most people on this earth don't believe in causality; Do not believe that good deeds will be rewarded, and do not believe that evil deeds will be rewarded. This kind of person who has no cause and effect is called' one interpretation' in Buddhism. They don't even believe in karma. How can they believe in Buddhism?

There are also most people who believe in other religions instead of Buddhism, although they believe in the truth that' doing good will lead to rising, and doing evil will lead to falling'. Such people are called "heretics" in Buddhism. If these heretics don't even believe in Buddhism, how can they believe in Buddhism?

Let's look at the people inside Buddhism: there are ordinary people, like monks and nuns, who live in Buddhist temples but don't learn Buddhism; Hanging is the' signboard' of Buddhism and selling the' groceries' of heretics; There are also ordinary people, similar to laymen, who secretly preach and persuade people to "eat eggs and eat vegetables", saying that "Sakyamuni has retired and Maitreya is now the Lord"; People who are so similar to Buddhism are called' heretics' in Buddhism. They don't even believe in the three treasures of Buddhism and Buddhism. How can they believe in chanting Buddha?

Inside Buddhism, except for the "Affiliation", all people really believe in Buddhism, but not all of them believe in Buddhism because they study other sects. People from other sects don't learn pure land Sect, so they have a portal view and persevere; Not only do you not believe in Pure Land Sect, but you often denigrate Pure Land Sect, which is really wrong.

For example, people who study Zen have just studied Zen for a few days and are opposed to chanting Buddha. I didn't know that the great Zen masters of past dynasties practiced Buddhism in large numbers! Many eminent monks who participate in Zen Buddhism are virtuous and fully understand the truth. After seeing nature clearly, they often return to the pure land. For example, in the past, Zen Master Yongming and Zen Master Wu Chu were the founders of Pure Land Sect. However, since they are the ancestors of the Pure Land Sect, why should they be called "Zen masters"? Because they learned Zen at first, they can prosper Zen after enlightenment. This is the great knowledge of Zen. The name of' Zen master' has spread to all parties; Although he later returned to Pure Land Sect to study Buddhism; But calling him' Zen master' has become a habit, so they are still called' Zen master'. This can prove that Pure Land Sect and Zen Sect are not barrier-free. Why should we vilify them? Another example is the present Zen master Xu Yun, who is 1 19 years old this year. It is recognized that he is a fully understood Zen master. If his old man speaks in the meditation hall, he will speak the truth of meditation; If you open a Buddha recitation hall, teach people to recite Buddha; Not only do we not oppose the pure land, but we also praise it. Now people who have just studied Zen for a few days are all against pure land. I wonder if their knowledge and efforts have surpassed those of great Zen masters named Yongming, Awakening and Virtual Cloud. I believe it won't exceed!

For example, people who only study intellectual sects, who have only studied intellectual sects for a few days, oppose chanting Buddhism! As we all know, Master Xuanzang, the founder of the first generation of Kaizong, did not object to chanting Buddha. When his old man came back from India to learn Buddhist scriptures, he personally translated the "ode to the Pure Land for Buddhism". (Amitabha Sutra) If Master Xuanzang was against chanting Buddha, he would not have brought the Sanskrit version of Amitabha Sutra to China. You can't translate this scripture. It can be seen that Master Xuanzang not only does not object to chanting Buddha, but also advocates chanting Buddha. Let's look at the second generation master of only knowing Sect. He has three volumes of Amitabha Sutra and one volume of Amitabha Sutra. It can be seen that master voyeur Ji not only does not object to chanting Buddha, but also strongly advocates chanting Buddha. Another example is Master Taixu, who is generally recognized as the only known Sect in ZTE since the Republic of China. When someone asks him to enlighten his old people, he always talks about the truth of chanting Buddha. In his lecture collection, there are as many as seven articles about pure land! The Shandao Temple in Taipei once printed a booklet for everyone to circulate. Therefore, I know that Master Taixu is not opposed to chanting Buddha, and he is also an advocate of pure land. People who have only studied for a few days now are all against Pure Land Sect. Can their knowledge practice surpass Xuanzang, Kui Ji and Taixu? I believe it won't exceed! Good man: How time flies! We have been chanting Buddha for four days, and more than half of the seven regular days have passed! How do you use your kung fu? It is necessary for everyone to reflect on themselves. If you are from Nina Li Chi, you can "keep your mind at ease" by chanting Buddha for one day. However, few people go to Nina Li Chi, while those who go to the middle and lower classes are always in the majority. Since there is no proof that "the difference between thoughts is not chaotic", we can know that the root machine is not too deep. However, it is precisely because of our shallow foundation that we need to catch up and strive for perfection! Just need to constantly reflect, see xian Si Qi! If so, only then will we benefit. Otherwise, the time will not last long, and within three days, seven buddha will be complete; The result is nothing. Isn't it a pity for these precious seven days? Never take time too lightly; Goodcloud: "An inch of time, an inch of light of life"! This is the wise man's advice. Time is our life. After a day, we lost a day's life! If you are vague and unwilling to really study hard, you should know that if you waste seven days, you will sacrifice seven days of your life! That's so sorry for myself! Knowing this meaning, we can't let go of time, study bit by bit and study hard day by day. Although we don't come from the roots, we are only willing to work hard and will certainly make achievements, which will eventually prove that we are "not chaotic".

Your confidence has always been strong; Your door has been very diligent. But in pure land practice, there is another most important condition, that is, we must be willing and sincere! So the topic of today's speech is:' chanting Buddha decides death'. Good people in the world: the truth of' wishing' mentioned yesterday must be kept in mind and cannot be ignored; Because wishing is the most important step! If we only know how to recite Buddha and don't know how to make wishes, then we can't live in the west. Master Hu Yi said:' If you don't believe in your wishes, if you keep your name until the wind blows in and the rain doesn't get wet, like an iron wall, you can't survive.' The master also said:' If you believe in firmness, you will surely survive if you think about it ten times before you die.' Of course, it doesn't mean that you have to die if you want to do it. If there is a wish without action, it will become an' empty wish'. How can we move towards life? Here, I just emphasize the importance of making vows, not to say that you can't live in the West without chanting Buddha.

For example, if you hear that Lingshan Temple is chanting Buddha Seven, you not only believe in chanting Buddha, but also want to participate. But I didn't start walking, and I still couldn't go to Lingshan Temple. It is also a fact that there is a will to believe and no action. Be merciful to all good people: Daoyuan interrupted a few more words, and Goodwin said,' Life and death are important, and impermanence is rapid.' Time flies. In a blink of an eye, it's been six days since I recited Buddha Seven. It's really' impermanent and quick'! Only Buddhism is telling the truth of "life and death", and only Buddhism is telling the truth. The knowledge in the world only talks about the truth after life and before death, which is the so-called seven. Buddhist chanting must continue in peacetime.

Good people all over the world: We have finished the seventh Buddhist recitation today. You work hard, you are brave and diligent. Although you dare not say that everyone can get the word, there are always some people who can get the word. Either the reasoning of evidence is not chaotic, or the things of evidence are not chaotic; Or personally see the three saints in the west, or personally hear the wonderful speeches of the three saints; Or you can see the four-color lotus flowers and seven-treasure trees in Elysium, and all kinds of solemn and wonderful pictures; Or get a pure land fragrance, or see the holy face light. In short, people who really work hard will prove something and gain something; Decide whether to donate or not.

The meaning of seven buddha is to let go of all karma. I hope that during these seven days, I will concentrate on reading Amitabha and get the result of' one mind is not chaotic, and my heart is not rebellious'. There is a difference between being single-minded and not being chaotic, depending on how much you put down; If you let go more, you will work hard; Shallow put down, shallow focus. Single-minded, single-minded, kung fu is the most superficial thing, but I still decided to go to the western paradise with confidence.

Tibetan Christmas was held in Shishi Buddhist Temple.

It was the day and night efforts of the Tibetan Bodhisattva that successfully returned to the Dharma Association.

At 9: 00 a.m. on August 28th, it was the Tibetan King and Bodhisattva Christmas and the Tibetan Bodhisattva Day held in Shishi Temple.

Night essence, the Buddha is complete in seven days. At 9 o'clock in the morning, Master Zhong Ming, the abbot of Shishi Temple, was invited to preside over the Christmas ceremony of the Tibetan King and Bodhisattva, and led the masses to the glazed pagoda and the Tibetan Scripture Building to burn incense.

At 6 o'clock in the evening, the bells and drums rang in the Shishi Temple, and the four permanent members of the temple and all kinds of good believers lined up neatly and slowly walked to the lecture hall in the sound of the holy name of the Tibetan King and Bodhisattva. Together, they respectfully invited Master Zhong Ming to preside over the intensive work of Tibetan Bodhisattva in Daxiong Hall and returned to the Dharma meeting successfully, returning the merits and demerits of chanting the holy name of Tibetan Bodhisattva to their secular relatives and ancestors, and praying for peace and good weather!
