Introduction of Xiang pig:

Xiang pig belongs to Artiodactyla, Wild Boar Family and Pig genus, and is famous all over the country for its small size, early maturity and tender meat. Xiang pig is also called "mini pig", among which Congjiang Xiang pig and Bai Jian Xiang pig in southeastern Guizhou, the hometown of China Xiang pig awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, and Bama Xiang pig near southeastern Guangxi are the most famous, as well as Huanjiang Xiang pig and Tibetan Xiang pig, all of which belong to dwarf pig breeds.

Xiang Pig is a small local breed, and its main producing areas are Zaibian and Jiaqiu areas in congjiang county, Guizhou Province, Wubao commune in Du Jiang area of Sandu County, and Minglun and Dongxing commune in Huanjiang County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is mainly distributed in the northern part of Rongjiang, Libo and Rongshui counties at the junction of Guizhou and Guangxi, as well as Leishan and Danzhai counties. According to the investigation and statistics of 1977- 198 1 year, there are about 50,000 Xiang pigs in the origin and distribution area.
