Monitoring camera installation tutorial

First of all, you need to prepare a camera, which is no problem. You can buy any one in the market (I recommend you to buy a Logitech camera, which is my brand and of good quality). The next step is to install the camera. At present, the general cameras are USB ports, and most cameras do not need external power supply, so they can be used normally as long as they are connected to the USB port on the computer.

If you want to monitor with a camera, you need to download a software, which is SupervisionCam. The software provides a fully functional trial version. Although the software itself is in English, it is quite simple to operate. Download the exclusive version of this software first. The downloaded file is in EXE format. If you run it directly, you will first see the interface as shown in figure 1, and select the installation language in this interface. As can be seen from the figure 1, the program provides a multilingual interface, but there is no Chinese in it, so you can only choose English. Click the OK button and follow the prompts to install.

Startup and setup

After the installation is successful, the program starts. First of all, it will give the interface to run the settings. This is a feature of the software, and this setting interface will be given every time the program is started. The first thing we see is the "Motion Detection" tab. As shown in figure 2. Set the camera you installed in the "Set Video Source" item of this interface. Otherwise, the program will not run. After choosing the equipment, you can see the screen directly in the setting interface, hehe, the first battle was successful. At this point, if all the default settings of the program are used, you can start working. First of all, we use the settings provided by the program by default, and do not use any other redundant settings.

Click OK to return to the program interface. At this point, you can see the corresponding screen information in the program interface. Adjust the position of your camera to ensure that you can see what you want. "Activate supervision" button, and you can start capturing. The working principle of SupervisionCam is as follows: if the program finds that the monitored picture has changed, such as the movement of objects, it will automatically capture the picture at the time interval you set and save it to the hard disk. In this way, in an unattended environment, we can see the change of the monitored position.

Double-click the captured picture with the mouse, and you can see the modified picture content in the small window at the lower left corner of the program interface. Because SupervisionCam can take screenshots of every changed picture without missing anything. In addition, you can click the "Start Play Mode" button at the bottom of the interface, and the program will automatically play all the intercepted pictures, which is more convenient.

This is the basic usage of SupervisionCam. Now let's look at other settings to make the program run better. Click the "Change Configuration" button in the button bar of the program interface to activate the running environment setting interface. The first thing I saw was the "Motion Detection" tab, which we mentioned before. Now we need to talk about the detailed settings. In the "Video Capture Filter" button associated interface of this interface, settings such as brightness and contrast of the captured picture are provided, which can effectively improve the picture quality. In addition, there is a "Compare frames eash" option in the interface, which is used to set the time interval for comparing frame changes. This setting is related to the video frame interval that the program can intercept. The default value of the program is 0.5s In addition, the program also provides a very professional setting, which is to add a "mask" to the captured picture. The so-called "mask" can be understood as mosaic, which is to mark the picture so that others can't see it. If you want to use this function, you can first select the use mask check box and set the image to use mask, and then click the mask button in the interface, and the program will give the image mask window.
