Because the study of this house is very small, about 10 square meter, considering that I will often run a (Jia) and a (Ban) business in the future, I hope the office space can be more spacious, so I finally decided to transform the second bedroom into a study.

Finally, decide the lighting mode and area.

After deciding to transform the second bedroom into a study, the demand for privacy in this room has almost dropped to zero. At the same time, since we have decided to use this room as a new lighting source, we should maximize the natural light from the second bedroom into the corridor and living room. Combining these two factors, the use of glass walls has become the first choice to transform this room.

As for the lighting area, what I wanted most at that time was to knock out all the two walls of the second bedroom and replace them with glass, and they also went straight to the roof, so as to maximize the lighting. Third, it increases the comfort of the office. Because this study is a transparent space with certain display function, you can't store too many things, leaving more free space, where you are relatively comfortable to study and work.

If I have the opportunity to redo this glass research, I will pay attention to the following three points:

Yes, this is my biggest regret. If the wall color of the study can be consistent with that of the living room, the space will be more transparent, the overall feeling will be stronger and it will be brighter. However, some visiting friends like this dark area, which can only be said to be very personal. In short, everyone must carefully consider the wall color!

Install the floor first and then the glass, and the ground joints will be more beautiful.

Because the glass wall was just installed at that time, the seam of the wooden floor was not handled well when it was installed, and the gap was filled with white wall powder. Although it is not obvious, it is not beautiful enough. The reason is that the wooden floor is made of pieces of wood, and the size of the wood near the glass can not guarantee the perfect splicing with the glass. Therefore, it is necessary to cut the wooden floor at the joint sealing to adapt to the laying size. However, due to the construction level of workers and other reasons, even the cut wooden floor will not fit perfectly at the joint sealing.

Therefore, it is best to install the floor first and then the glass, and fix it with glass glue, so that there will be no white seams.

Do a good job of wall storage design in advance

At present, there is no storage function on the wall of our whole study room, which we did not consider at first. Now, the storage of the study room is completed by this bookshelf. (helpless face)
