Shen Quan's Poem "Lotus Pond Yuanyang"

Shen Quan has a unique position in painting. He was from the Qianlong period of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty. During Yongzheng's reign, he went to Japan not to study, but to teach painting skills. He enjoys a high reputation in Japanese painting circles and is called "the first imported painter". After returning to China, his fame spread to the palace, so he was hired as a court painter, leaving a lot of masterpieces handed down from generation to generation. This "Lotus Pond Mandarin Duck Picture" is one of them.

"Lotus can be picked in the south of the Yangtze River. What is a lotus leaf?". On the screen, the lotus leaves are lush, swaying with the wind and rolling like waves. No wonder even Tang Yin said, "Only the mandarin ducks are admired, not the immortals"!

Echoing these two mandarin ducks from a distance, there are magpies on the branches. A magpie is standing under the lotus leaf. The covered lotus leaf is like a parasol, which blocks the summer sunshine. It seems to be calling another magpie flying in the air: "Come on, it's too cool here! There are flowers! " And another magpie is chirping with it, which is a happy scene.
