Feeling after cross-country race

On March 18, I participated in the local cross-country hiking competition. This is my first time to participate in cross-country running, and the distance is 16 km. I have to run two mountains. I usually run four days a week, about five to eight kilometers each time. Run a three-kilometer mini marathon. But on the whole, I still have no experience in the contest. Let's talk about the feeling of this cross-country first:

1. Don't fight for speed at once in the game. Cross-country running is completely different from running on flat ground. It was really cruel when going uphill. If you don't have the habit of running regularly, don't compete with others in the race. On the road, I saw many strong men sitting on the edge and resting because of the fast speed in front, and their faces were pale.

2. If possible, please choose non-slip running shoes or cross-country sports shoes. For example, the running shoes I am wearing this time have very slippery soles, and they slipped twice when I went down the slope. Just when the cameraman was there, I heard the click of the camera. My pants smelled of dirt all the way, and I continued to run with others' kind smiles. Actually, it's still a little embarrassing.

Sleep well, it is best not to carry a backpack, so as not to sway all the way. I just can't wait to throw away my backpack all the way Maybe I didn't sleep well the night before, and then my heart rate jumped above 160 when I went uphill. Go downhill to 150 or so.

I'm really tired on the way up the mountain, and I really want to give up, but you can't give up either, because you can't turn back on the road, so you can only go all the way forward and look at the endless hillside and keep going.

5. I am really depressed. Every time I go to a supply point, I ask, is it almost over? The staff at the supply point are very enthusiastic and keep telling me to eat more and drink more. They grabbed a handful of candy and put it in my hand, saying, come on, hold on, almost there! Encouragement is really important.

All six people have potential. In the last 3 kilometers, my running speed broke more than 5 or 4 points. I can't believe it. Two mountains have been climbed in front. After 13 kilometers, the last 3 kilometers can still be so fast. If I usually run, it's usually about 7 points, and I only broke 7 or 6 points in the last month. Perhaps it is easier for people to break through themselves in a competitive atmosphere.

No matter how painful the cross-country process is, it will be diluted by the joy of reaching the finish line. Finally, I sat on the lawn, and I was glad that I had finished another challenge and what I wanted to try. I think this is very important to me. Will make me more confident and brave to face and challenge more things in the future!
