Hello, friends! Welcome to the beautiful "Rongcheng" Fuzhou. I am the tour guide of xx, xx Travel Agency.
There is an old saying in Fuzhou, "All flags and drums are unique in Fujian". Today, we will visit one of them? Gushan. Located in the southeast of Fuzhou, Gushan Mountain is a famous cultural mountain with a long history in our province and one of the top ten scenic spots at the provincial level. According to legend, there is a huge stone shaped like a drum on the top of the mountain. Whenever it is stormy, the rain beats on the stone and makes a thumping sound, hence the name Gushan. Remember the Gulangyu stone we saw in Gulangyu, Xiamen yesterday? It is also named after the drum sound of the waves beating against the rocks. They are really "a pair of heaven, a pair of ground!" Zhu, a famous Neo-Confucianist in the Southern Song Dynasty, left a literary tale of "the storm in the sky" in Gushan, and Lin Zexu also left a swan song of "The sea reaches the boundless sky as the shore, and the mountain reaches the top and I am the peak". Since the Song Dynasty, literati have left more than 480 cliff stone carvings on the mountain, all kinds of fonts, like a natural treasure house of stone carving calligraphy, known as the "Southeast Forest of Steles"
Friends, now let's walk into this splendid calligraphy art palace and feast our eyes! Look! The word "deep in the spiritual source" at the mouth of the cave was inscribed by Yuan Xian, a monk who lived in the mountains in the Qing Dynasty. On the surface, it means a place name, but on the inside, it tells future generations that the inscription in this area is an expression of deep feelings of predecessors and a display of elegant cultural halls.
Walking down the steep stone steps, you can see that the surrounding mountains are different and the scenery is quiet, as if you were in a fairyland on earth and a paradise. Is it refreshing to take a deep breath?
The most famous cliff stone carving in Lingyuan Cave was written by Cai Xiang, one of the four great calligraphers in Song Dynasty. Look at this "forgetting to return to the stone", which is also the earliest stone carving in Gushan. Cai Xiang, a Fujian Xianyou, was a famous politician and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty. When he was the magistrate of Fuzhou, he enjoyed visiting Gushan very much and often lingered. Once, he lingered in the beautiful scenery in the mountains and forgot the time. After repeated urging, he realized that it was getting late, so he wrote "Forgetting to return to the stone". These three words have expressed his reluctance. If a tourist stays for a while and finds a stone left in Mo Bao, that's no good!
Ok, now we can see three big characters carved on this rock wall. Who will watch it? The child said it was too simple, it was a place to drink water, and asked why there was no water. Actually, this word doesn't mean drinking water. Why? Let me tell you a short story: According to legend, Master Shen Yan, the founder of the ancient Yongquan Temple, recited scriptures here. Because of the noisy spring water under the stream, he stopped running after drinking, and then the stream diverted eastward and dried up. So these three words are pronounced "drinking water rock". Of course, this is just folklore. In fact, the terrain at this time is a rock fault zone according to geology. Due to crustal movement, a fault plane is formed, and surface water leaks underground along the fault plane. Of course, there is no water, not a person who can drink water backwards. Is it better to have water here or not? Literati and writers of all ages have a hundred flowers and a hundred schools of thought contend here. Xu Xizhi, a scholar in the Song Dynasty, expounded his views in his stone poems. Looking at this stone tablet, he wrote: "The mountains are locked loose, just sit in the room with the sound of springs." If I were a teacher, I wouldn't be taught to drink the water over the mountain. " He thinks there are mountains here, and there must be no water. If he was there, he would advise the mage not to transfer the stream. Yu Dafu, a modern writer, was deeply moved when he came here. He said: "Blame his lively origin, he never came back after 1000 years." We are here today, I wonder if everyone feels the same way? However, in order to make up for this great regret, I don't know which ancient sage was ingenious and wrote "No water is better" next to this stone, which really made tourists look back and smile, which meant a lot.
There are deep stone valleys around Lingyuan Cave in Gushan Mountain, which is a valley landscape in landform. The sages made full use of the inscriptions on the stone walls here, so that the whole landscape can be completely preserved, adding luster to the lonely mountain! 1982 In the spring, Master Liu Haisu visited Lingyuan Cave at the age of 87, and wrote the four characters "Sheng Tianzhu" to praise the scenery and forest of steles here.
Friends, due to the limited time, there are still many scenic spots to see. I hope everyone will have the opportunity to come to Gushan again, listen to the unfinished story, see the unfinished beauty and share the happy moment again! Thank you all.

Selected five tour guide words in Gushan, Fujian (IV)
When it comes to Fuzhou, you can't help mentioning Gushan. As early as the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a geomantic saying in Fuzhou that "the right flag and the left drum, eight Fujian and two unique". This left drum refers to Gushan, which stands in the eastern suburb of Fuzhou and the north bank of Minjiang River, with a total area of about 48 square kilometers. It is divided into five scenic spots: Gushan, Guling, Eel Creek, Moxi and Fengchi Baiyun Cave. It has been a tourist attraction since the Song Dynasty, and Gushan Mountain is one of the "Top Ten" scenic spots in Fujian Province. It is far away from Qishan in Fuzhou, surrounded by mountains, evergreen all the year round, with grotesque rocks everywhere, caves on the peak and beautiful scenery. The main peak is more than 900 meters above sea level, which plays a very important role in Fuzhou Feng Shui.
Qinglong Gushan helps the people's well-being
Since ancient times, Fuzhou people have a tradition of using closed space when choosing and organizing their living environment. In order to strengthen the sealing, multiple sealing is often adopted. For example, the quadrangle is a closed space; More quadrangles strengthen the closed level, and many quadrangles are closed by walls in Li Fang (for example, the structure of three squares and seven lanes in Fuzhou). As a city, the same is true, from the yamen compound in the center of the city (or Miyagi in the capital) to the inner city and then to the contour city, it is also a multiple closed space. On the outskirts of the city, according to the feng shui pattern, the main mountain is the barrier behind the base site, and the mountain extends from left to right to Qinglong and Baihu Mountain, surrounded by left and right shoulders. There are dragons and white tigers on the left and right sides of the mountain (for example, Jinji Mountain in Fuzhou is a dragon, Dameng Mountain is a white tiger, and Yushan and Wushan Mountain surround the south gate with left and right shoulders), so the rear and left and right sides are surrounded. There is a mountain shelter in front of the foundation site, which is closed in front with the left and right veins, leaving a gap of water flow, guarded by Shuikou Mountain, forming the first closed circle. For example, there are Shaozu Mountain and Zushan on the back of the main mountain, and Gushan Mountain on the side of Qinglong Mountain and Baihushan Mountain (such as Gushan Mountain on the side of Qinglong Mountain in Fuzhou; Qishan on the side of Baihu Mountain). The second closed circle is formed on the opposite mountain outside the case mountain. It can be said that the feng shui pattern is a natural closed environment outside the closed man-made building environment.
It can be seen that Gushan Mountain is the Qinglong Mountain in Fuzhou, guarding this rare treasure land of Fuzhou, wishing the blessed land good weather and people's health.
The "drum" of Gushan is very meaningful.
As the Qinglong Mountain in Fuzhou, Gushan Mountain has its own magic, and its peak is named after a boulder. According to legend, this drum was specially left by General Tian Ting to save the dragon. Whenever it is stormy, there will be the sound of stone drums swaying, that is, the generals beat drums on the top of the drums to face the attack of the Dragon King at sea and call on the three armed forces to prepare for the battle.
Drum, Yijing, east for the earthquake. Yijingyun: Earthquakes keep happening. When the earthquake came, I laughed speechless. Shocked for a hundred miles, don't mourn. Indicates the direction of heavy thunder, and the sound travels thousands of miles, indicating that there is no danger and no change.
The Book of Changes "vibrating hexagrams" symbolizes the sound of drums: it can lead to prosperity. When thunder incites, everything in the world feels fear, but a gentleman can take it calmly and laugh it off; Even though the thunder and the shock are hundreds of miles away, as a gentleman, he can take his time, which shows that a gentleman is mighty and unyielding, so he can achieve great things. The stone drum at the top of Gushan Mountain also reminds people living in Fuzhou that everyone is responsible for the rise and fall of ordinary people. Whenever the country changes, we should go out and serve the country, from the meaning of the people to the dragon.
Jiushan Pavilion has a mystery.
Yongquan Temple in Gushan is even more famous in the world. It is the pride of Fuzhou to rank first among temples in Fujian. Known as "you must visit Gushan when you come to Fuzhou".
The temples in Yongquan Temple are integrated with the natural landscape. The original mountain springs and cliff stones on the hillside are cleverly embedded in them. The temple is surrounded by lush old forests, which can be described as "you can't see the temple when you enter the mountain, and you can't see the mountain when you enter the temple", just like this temple was created by Pangu, where heaven landed. This typical Tang Dynasty building is located in a three-story palace facing south and facing up the mountain. Crossing the high threshold, a quiet and elegant Buddha fragrance came to my face. Many people walk into the temple, light a wick, pray and bless devoutly, which makes people feel at ease.
Shen Yan, the founder of this temple, is even more legendary. Because the temple is built on the bird's nest cave in Gushan, the bird's nest gives birth to swallows and grandchildren, and Yongquan Temple can live in monks and steamed mouths. According to legend, after the completion of Yongquan Temple at that time, the incense of Gushan became more and more prosperous. In order to facilitate pilgrims to climb the mountain, the monks in the temple decided to build a mountain road. After 7749 days' efforts, a winding stone mountain road has been paved from the foot of Gushan Mountain to the entrance of Yongquan Temple.
Shen Yan, the founder of this mountain, was very happy when he saw this stone avenue. But after a few days, I was not happy. Because all the monks in Daidoji died of illness, pilgrims also heard that there was a plague in Yongquan Temple and were afraid to go up the mountain. For a time, the monks of Gushan Yongquan Temple fled everywhere, with few pilgrims and few people.
Shen Yan was puzzled, so he went to the top of Gushan Baiyun Mountain to see the stone road, trying to find out the reason. Looking from a distance, vaguely, he found that the whole stone road was full of ferocity. He quickly recognized them one by one, and then almost lost control and cried out in horror. This stone road from the foot of the mountain to the gate of Yongquan Temple twists and turns like a python, and the stone slabs on the ridge road are like scales on the python. The snake's head is facing the gate of Yongquan Temple, and its mouth is facing the bird's nest, swallowing the swallows that go out. This stone road is clearly "the snake ran into the nest"! Obviously, the geomantic omen of Yongquan Temple was broken by this stone road.
Fortunately, Shen Yan deserves to be called a master. He returned to Yongquan Temple, called all the monks to build nine mountain pavilions on the newly built mountain road, from the foot of the mountain to the gate. The nine mountain pavilions in the middle of the stone road turned by this python are Minshan No.1 Pavilion, Dongji Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion (now abandoned), Waterfall Pavilion (also known as Shimen Pavilion), Chengyun Pavilion, Banshan Pavilion, Tea Pavilion, Songguan Pavilion and Dressing Pavilion. These nine mountain pavilions, like nine big nails, are firmly nailed to the stone road that this python has turned into, cutting this "python" into seven sections, so that it can no longer do any harm. After that, a stone road was built with drinking water rock, which was paved with stone slabs and went straight to the mountain gate. The road is centipede ridge road, which means centipede bites seven inches. Snakes are afraid of centipedes, so this poisonous snake can't be revived. After the centipede ridge road was paved, the uphill road became wider.
Now, the python can't move. And the stone road that turned into a python was frozen there forever and trampled by thousands of people. Since then, Yongquan Temple has gradually flourished with more and more monks. Yongquan Temple is becoming more and more famous in the world and has finally become a famous Buddhist shrine in the south. Its cliff carvings are also famous in Gushan.

Yongquan Temple is located on an isolated mountain, covering an area of about 1.7 hectares, and still maintains the architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple is surrounded by mountains and valleys, and the sills and corridors are connected. There are 25 large and small halls around the Ursa Major Hall. The Great Hall of Heroes stands tall, with huge columns flying over the eaves, magnificent and brilliant. In the temple, the Buddha Muny III sat in China costume instead of Vatican costume. Eighteen arhats on both sides have different expressions, "solemn method". On the back of the main hall, there is a "three icons" of about 1. 15 tons. There is a long table made of mulberry in front of the statue. It is said that it has experienced many fires and is still intact. Known as the treasure of the town temple. There are many oak couplets inside and outside the main hall, such as: "There are many white clouds on the seat, and when Feng Dan takes a bath, the black dragon lies behind;" The sea is small in my eyes. Look at seven Kun going east and five tigers coming south. " And so on, are vivid portrayal of the history and environment of ancient temples.
The paintings on the ceilings of Ursa Major Hall and Tongyuan Hall are dazzling. There are ancient bells and drums hanging on the bell and drum tower in the front of the Hall of Great Heroes, among which the 6372-word Diamond Sutra is cast on the King Kong Prajna clock weighing about 2 tons, which has been more than 300 years since.
On the west side of Tongyuan Hall, there is the Holy Arrow Hall, commonly known as the "abbot" room. There are two female and one male cycads in the yard, which are yellow like fluffy balls when they bloom. It is said that cycads were planted by the King of Fujian and the first abbot.
At the peak of Gushan Yongquan Temple, there were 1500 monks. There are still four huge pots in Ji Xiang's kitchen, which were made in the Song Dynasty more than 960 years ago. The largest bite can hold 20 loads of water and 5 loads of rice at a time, which is really a "pot of thousands of mouths" and feeds thousands of people.
Yongquan Temple was burned down twice in the sixth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (1408) and the twenty-first year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1542), and was rebuilt in the seventh year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1634). It was built several times in Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in 1983. Today, Yongquan Temple has basically maintained the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are 25 large and small halls in the whole Buddhist temple, with the Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall and Fatang Hall as the main bodies, which rise layer by layer according to the mountain situation, forming a complete ancient architectural complex. The 2,000 Buddhist pagodas in front of Yongquan Temple were fired in the fifth year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1082). The one on the left is called "Heavenly Robbery of a Thousand Buddhas", and the one on the right is called "Fairy Robbery of a Thousand Buddhas". The twin towers are made of clay and fired in layers, with a height of about 7 meters. The details of the tower are modeled after the wooden pavilions of the Song Dynasty. There are 1038 Buddha statues on each tower, so it is called Thousand Buddha Pagodas. There are 36 monks and military commanders on the eaves of the octagonal tower, and 72 ceramic tower bells are hung. Lotus petals, lion dances and dwarfs are carved on the tower foundation, and inscriptions are engraved to record the time of building the tower and the names of craftsmen.
Yongquan Temple was once an important publishing institution of Confucian classics in China temples, and it still retains more than 20,000 pieces of various types of stereotypes from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties and modern times. There are 9,000 ancient Buddhist scriptures in the Buddhist Sutra Hall in the temple, accounting for more than 27,900 volumes. More than 200 volumes of handwritten scriptures; Blood book Mahayana Prajna paramita 657 volumes. Among them, the most striking one is17th century's work "A Brief Introduction to Huayan Classics of Dafang Guangfo" by Pei Daoshi, the abbot of Gushan, with a total volume of 120, 48 subpackages and 2425 engravings. This is a representative Buddhist work in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. Yongquan Temple began to engrave scriptures in the Song Dynasty. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, it became an important place for China to publish Confucian classics. Up to now, there are still 1 1375 Buddhist scriptures in the temple, which is a treasure house of Buddhist scriptures.
In the center of the Buddhist sutra hall, there is a stupa of NiGu Mei Lingya, in which only three relics and Buddha's teeth are left. The relic is a combination of essence, qi and spirit of a monk. It glows after cremation. Behind the tower is a white marble reclining Buddha statue sent by Myanmar. The Buddha's body is symmetrical and serene, which is said to be the shape of Sakyamuni when he died.
