Romantic Lugu Lake and Marriage Customs.

Caohai, located in Luguhu Town, Yanyuan County, Sichuan Province, is located in the southeast of Lu Jie Lake. It has been silted for many years, and the lake is shallow and dense with reeds. Caohai is about 7 kilometers long, with an average width of about 800 meters and an area of about 9000 mu. Even in autumn and winter, the grass and the sea are green. Within a day, the water color is changeable and waterfowl flock. Caohai has become a world of waterfowl. There are a lot of fish and shrimp here, and you can also pick up wild duck eggs among reeds. When there was no food in the difficult period of 60 years, people here went fishing for fish and shrimp, picking up wild duck eggs and spending the famine year.

The most fascinating thing is the walking wedding bridge on the grass sea, which is more than 300 meters long and connects Mosuo villages on both sides of the strait. This is a passage specially prepared for the married "xia", which is known as "the first love bridge in the world". The wedding bridge is where Mosuo men and women date. Mosuo people along Lugu Lake follow the custom of "men don't marry and women don't marry".

During the day, adult Mosuo men and women get together and express their feelings to the right people through dancing and singing. If a man falls in love with a woman, he will make an appointment with her during the day and go to the woman's "flower room" in the middle of the night. Here, men call their female lover "xia" and women call their male lover "Ah Zhu". Whenever night falls, "Azhu" goes to the wedding bridge for an appointment.

The sky is clear, the moon is bright and the stars are sparse, and Mosuo is young.
