Why are the anti-American forces in Iraq silent now?

After the United States launched the Iraq war in 2003 and overthrew Saddam Hussein's regime, the US military was strongly blocked by Iraqi anti-American armed forces. In fact, most of the casualties of American troops in Iraq occurred after the fall of Saddam's regime.

However, in recent years, the anti-American armed forces in Iraq seem to be gradually declining, and now it is rare to hear reports that anti-American armed forces attacked the US military. In my opinion, the following factors are responsible for this situation: 1. In order to cope with the invasion of extremist organizations, some former anti-American armed forces had to choose to cooperate with the US military and Iraqi government forces. Under this "overall situation", it is naturally "inappropriate" to attack the US military again. 4. American troops have indeed withdrawn a lot from Iraq in recent years, which has made some anti-American armed forces feel that the United States has been soft, thus reducing the attacks on American troops.

For ordinary Iraqis, they have endured sanctions and wars for many years, and they generally don't want Iraq to continue chaos. Originally, American troops invaded Iraq, but ordinary Iraqis still sympathized with and supported the anti-American armed forces. However, some anti-American armed forces often use improvised explosive devices to ambush the US military. Often, American and Iraqi government forces do not kill many people, but innocent people become victims in batches. Over time, some Iraqis changed their attitude towards anti-American armed forces and stopped supporting them. Without the support of ordinary people, some anti-American armed forces can't do anything.

The activities of anti-American armed forces in Iraq have indeed been greatly reduced, but they have not reached the level of "silence", which is mainly related to the geopolitical environment facing Iraq. As we all know, there are a large number of Shiite Muslims in Iraq, and Iran, Iraq's main neighbor, is precisely the country with a majority of Shiite Muslims. Over the years, Iran has adhered to the anti-American line and implemented the "export revolution", and Iraq is an important stage for Iran's "export revolution". Today, some Shiite Muslim armed forces in Iraq can still get Iran's training and material support, and rely on Iran's "big tree" to continue anti-American. As long as the US troops remain "stationed" in Iraq, the anti-American armed forces in Iraq will not be able to truly "behave themselves", and they will continue to be the lingering nightmare of the US troops in Iraq.
