If they can't catch their prey, they can only spend it in hunger or semi-hunger. And the old people won't go hunting, because they can't run anymore, so they have to do some endurance work, that is fishing. The woman at home went to pick wild fruits at dawn, and when she felt that it was almost noon, she went back to the cave to sew clothes and do some fine work. Children can neither hunt nor fish nor sew clothes, so they can only go to the river to pick up some stones, shells, jade and so on. At dusk, everyone came back. If men hit their prey, they can roast it and eat it. They didn't know how to use salt at that time, and their prey was roasted directly without peeling.
