I have always been curious about Nanzhao, whether it is the exotic Nanzhao in Legend of the Sword and the Chivalrous Man or the Nanzhao full of handsome guys and beautiful women in Eight Dragons, it is very attractive. I always think that place has endless mystery, so I went to Nanzhao Island in Dali, Yunnan last month.

This Nanzhao-style island belongs to the beautiful hometown of double corridors and is embedded in Erhai Lake in Dali, Yunnan. After arriving at Shuanglang, take a boat for 5 minutes!

Let's talk about the double gallery first. The Double Corridor can be described as a paradise where water and sky are one color and lakes and waters meet. Relying on Jizu Mountain and Erhai Lake, there are pictures of people living in harmony with nature everywhere. It is said that "Dali scenery looks at Canger, Canger scenery is in the double gallery", which is really deserved!

When you get to Shuanglang, wait for the boat at the dock, and you can see Nanzhao Island opposite Erhai Lake. Nanzhao Island is very small. Looking down from the air, it fell into the blue Erhai Lake like an emerald pearl. However, sparrows are small and complete, and they are quite delicate.

The ancient trees on the island are towering, the plank road is winding and the path is deep, connecting squares, palaces, observation decks and caves in series. There is a battery car on the island, but it is not recommended to take it, because it is actually no trouble to go around the island, and there is no need to waste that money. Of course, if there are elderly people with inconvenient legs and feet, they can still ride.

After landing on the island, the first thing I saw was a group of bronze sculptures in the square, named "Mother Sha Yi". There are 10 stone pillars behind him, and the images of 10 men are engraved on the pillars with strong lines. They are 65,438 sons of mother Sha Yi.

There is a legend behind this group of sculptures, which comes from the myth of "Nine Dragons" in Biography of Southwest China. In Ailao Mountain in western Yunnan, there is a woman named Sha Yi, who lives by fishing. One day, she accidentally bumped into a piece of sunken wood at the bottom of the water and got pregnant. Then she gave birth to 10 sons. Unexpectedly, the heavy wood turned out to be a Huanglong in the Lancang River.

The youngest son, whose name is Jiulong, is closest to him. When he grew up, he moved to Cangshan Erhai Lake and became king. His descendants became today's Dali Bai people. The sculpture itself tells the story of the past lives of the Bai people in Dali.

Walking on the winding plank road in the forest feels like walking through the shadow of the coconut grove on the south beach. Some plank roads have been built to the water's edge, and the sparkling waves are patting gently.

When the plank road extends to the hillside, it can penetrate the enchanting flowers and overlook the blue Erhai Lake and the misty Cangshan Mountain. What a beautiful view!

I am most interested in seeing the Sun Palace across the island from here. Sun Palace is a villa built by dancer Yang li Ping. It used to be an art hotel, but now it is completely displayed as a work of art and can be visited as long as it is consumed.

From here, we can see that Sun Palace occupies the best geographical position in Erhai Lake, and most of its bodies go deep into the sea, as if floating on the water. Its shape is very beautiful, flowers and trees are everywhere, and some semi-circular buildings protrude from the bottom of the water, just like the rising sun in the Ran Ran of Erhai Lake. It is said that it is made of glass, and the sea water beats directly on the glass, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea and sky while listening to the waves of Erhai Lake.

You can also visit Nanzhao Palace on the island. Its architectural style is dominated by the Tang Dynasty, with Nanzhao and Tubo styles added. It is the summer palace of Nanzhao King. It is said that it used to be as big as the Forbidden City in Beijing, but now it is only in ruins.

In my opinion, the most charming place of Nanzhao Island is the comfortable and relaxed environment. The climate on the island is pleasant and there is a cool sea breeze. After circling the island, you can find an old tree on the shore and stay quietly. You don't want to do anything Cangshan Mountain is far away, Erhai Lake is near, and the transparent blue sky and white clouds are overhead, which is as comfortable as a holiday in Sanya.
