There are six single vowels, namely A, O, E, I, U and U, which are mainly used to spell syllables with initials.

1. Pay attention to the phonetic features. When pronouncing, it should be emphasized that the mouth shape is always the same, the vocal cords vibrate, the voice is loud and the time is slightly longer.

2. Pay attention to distinguish the different pronunciations of six single vowels by the size of the opening and the change of the tongue position. For example, the opening of a is the largest, and when it reaches ≤, the opening is the smallest.

3. Make full use of visual AIDS for teaching. For example, if you teach E, you can observe the pictures of geese in the upper reaches of the water and learn the pronunciation of E through the sound of "goose". The reflection of the goose in the water is similar to the letter e, which can help you remember the shape of the letter.

Another example is I, a dress is drawn on the picture, and the pronunciation of I is learned through the sound of "clothes". The buttons on the front and top of the clothes show the shape of I. The letter I can be compounded on the front of clothes by sliding to highlight the shape of I.
