What should I do if I have a conflict with my college roommate?

In a place like university, where relationships are complicated, we should often talk less and do more. I didn’t realize that university is such a small society before. After walking through it, I realized how innocent I am.

But despite this, I am still willing to believe that human nature is good, and I am willing to treat everyone with my sincere heart. Even if others are unfriendly to you and are very scheming, just be yourself. When you can't affect the environment, you can change yourself to adapt to the environment.

There are really a lot of dormitory problems in college. I am now a sophomore, and I have been with the people in my dormitory for nearly two years. Our relationship is just to see each other every day and sleep together in the dormitory at night. . The good people are still the same as before, and the relationship is just like that. I once imagined my college roommates, but I never thought it would be like this. In fact, I personally hope that the dormitory can help each other, be considerate of each other, and understand each other.

I remember that not long after school started, my roommate and I had a big fight. Our class was divided into groups, and there was a girl in our dormitory who wanted to be in a group with me, but I made an appointment with them. Then I rejected this girl and stopped being in a group with her. This grouping was assigned by the temporary teacher on the spot during class.

But I think there is nothing right or wrong about this matter. Grouping is just for everyone to be together if they are suitable. I just didn't want to be in the same group with them, so when I got back to the dormitory she questioned me, making me feel like I had committed some heinous crime. Then, we didn't speak much for a week. Later, she suddenly seemed to have figured it out. She took the initiative to apologize to me and said that she had figured it out.

Another time, I was the class teacher of the freshmen class, and it happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival, so they gave me a few cookies and I took them back to my dormitory. I personally don’t like mooncakes, so I just want to share them with them. There were only four mooncakes, so I gave them to four people at random, except for one girl. Another reason why I didn't give it to her is because she doesn't eat mooncakes like me, so I divided it like this.

But, others didn’t seem to understand it this way. She told me directly as if she was joking, why should she ignore me, which made me very confused. Her tone was obviously not joking, and then others contacted me and stopped talking to me for many days, showing indifference to me. Later, when I explained my behavior to her, she felt that she was too petty. Now she has moved out of our dormitory and changed rooms with others. Time heals everything and she will talk to me now and will.

Contradiction takes time and needs to be confessed. If I made a mistake, I would apologize directly to others. But it's not my fault. If she misunderstood, I will explain it to her. But if she doesn't listen, then there's nothing I can do about it. I just have to be myself.
