The death station on the Sino-Vietnamese border

There is a small post on the mountain about 35 kilometers away from our detachment station, which is the defense zone of other brothers. When China and Vietnam fought back in self-defense, we heard that our army had sacrificed more than 1000 people in this defense zone, but the information we checked said that only 1053 people had been sacrificed, and there were photos and names of martyrs.

It is estimated that there are 800 posts on the Sino-Vietnamese border, so the world has completely ignored its existence, because I went to that post with my father at 1990. In recent years, we have taken recruits there to do ideological education, which is very impressive.

Indeed, it left no trace in that war. (I can't find the battle related to this post online, I can only find it in the county annals. )

Unlike Laoshan, Fakashan and Koulinshan, which attracted the world's attention with large-scale battles, China and Vietnam seem to have a tacit understanding and kept silent about the battles that took place here that year. Here, I will tell you what I know.

This post is about 700 meters away from the border and is the highest mountain in this area, with an altitude of 1500 meters. Now, with the normalization of Sino-Vietnamese relations, it has become the base for party and government organs, schools and troops in our region to receive patriotic education. Although the smoke is far away, those who stayed in this county in those years will never forget the extremely tragic battle from 1979 to 1984. Since the post is now open to the outside world, anyone can visit it at any time as long as the company commander in charge of defense agrees, so this article does not involve military secrets. )

This post is a death post because from the beginning of 1979 to the end of 1984, none of the Chinese and Vietnamese troops stationed at this post survived and all died in battle.

Before 1979, this post was only a small post at the level of infantry squad, and various defense systems were not perfect. There is only one trench dug by our soldiers, which can still be seen at this post, but now it looks no different from the ridge where farmers grow crops because of artillery fire and years of rain erosion, and it is not knee-high.

1979 One night at the beginning of the year, the post was attacked by Vietnamese special forces. Because there were many forests and dense grass on the mountain, there were no mines buried at that time, and China and Vietnam did not start large-scale fighting at that time, so the sentry's awareness and level of prevention were still relatively low.

So that when the Vietnamese agent touched it, the soldiers in the whole post were killed by the Vietnamese agent in their sleep, and only the sentry died in a sober state. A whole class of soldiers did not survive, which made people feel sad and angry.

After the Vietnamese army invaded the post, it expanded its position on the mountain and buried mines on the hillside. They haven't had time to repair the fortifications. In the early morning of February 1979, a reconnaissance detachment of our army successfully raided the post and recovered the lost land at a very small price. The post returned to the motherland.

Because the post is too small to accumulate a large number of soldiers, our army began to expand the post, dug a pit for soldiers to station on the mountain, and buried a large number of mines on the hillside. Soon, the Vietnamese army counterattacked the post and seized it at the expense of dozens of lives.

Around this post, from 1979 to 1984, China and Vietnam fought for each other and changed hands dozens of times. Often you take it, and the position is just fixed. I blew it up with a burst of artillery fire, then I organized a charge to take it away, and I repaired it with the rest of the reinforced concrete you repaired. You fix me to fry, I fix you to fry, and so on until 1984.

1979, an infantry post has only 12 people. Under the bombardment of millions of shells, at 1984, a trench was built into the main position of the company garrison. The hillside is full of mines, traps, barbed wire and cans. )

Three concrete trenches and n bunkers have been built on the position, and the cave has been dug into a three-dimensional fortification integrating garrison, recreation room, feeding room and ammunition depot. The most exaggerated thing is that there is actually a basketball court!

1984, the tug-of-war at the post was stopped by our last occupation. I want to write this last battle to you, but I really can't express it in words, and I'm afraid I'm ashamed of the martyrs who spilled blood on this hot land.

There is a big stone tablet on the ground, which reads "# # post,1February, 979 10 was occupied by the Vietnamese army, and all my defenders 12 died; Recovered on # year # month # day, our army lost # people and injured # people; On # year # month # day, it was captured by the Vietnamese army, and all my defenders were killed; ..... 1984 # month # day recovered, our army sacrificed 187 people and injured 23 1 person. " Looking at all the words of sacrifice, my tears flowed down.

Walking in the trenches, I couldn't stop crying when I watched the mutilated messages carved by soldiers with bayonets and daggers. "Stick to # # #" and "swear to survive" ... Walking, I suddenly thought, how many martyrs' blood once stained the land I stepped on, ten? Twenty people? ......

From 1979 to 1984, 5,000 people were killed on both sides. .....
