The Chanhe River and Bahe River originate in Qinling Mountains, flow through the eastern part of Xi City, Shaanxi Province, and join the Weihe River.

Bahe River flows from upstream to downstream, but its length is only 100 km. However, it has condensed the historical picture of China for 6,543,800 years. The source of Bahe River is the place where the famous Lantian ape-man lived. Down the Bahe River, almost every history of China civilization can find evidence of its existence here.
