In the past, the Xianwen taught you earnestly.

The rhyme of the collection increases, and you see more and hear more.

When looking at the present, it is advisable to learn from the past, as the present cannot be achieved without the past.

Know yourself and your enemy, and compare your feelings with your own.

Drink wine when meeting close friends, and recite poems to those who meet you.

We know each other all over the world, how many people can we know?

Meeting each other is like knowing each other for the first time, and there will be no resentment until the end of time.

You know the nature of fish when you are near the water, and you know the sounds of birds when you are near the mountains.

Mountains and streams are easy to rise and easy to recede, and easy to turn back and forth in the minds of small people.

The gold turned into iron when transported away, and the iron turned into gold.

Reading must be done with intention, a word is worth a thousand pieces of gold.

When you meet someone, you have to say only a few words, but don’t give up everything.

If you plant flowers deliberately, they will not bloom, but if you plant willows unintentionally, they will create shade.

Law and justice are determined by money. Manipulation, "The yamen is open, don't come in if you have reason and no money"; Human nature is distorted by interests, "There are straight trees in the mountains, but there are no straight people in the world"; Sophistication leads to unpredictable people, "It is difficult to paint the bones of a tiger, and you know the face but not the heart"; People say that it is difficult to distinguish between good and evil, "When you go into the mountains, you are not afraid of tigers that may hurt others, but you are afraid of the double-edged sword of human beings." "Zengguang" highly summarizes the dark phenomena in many aspects of society and coldly displays them in front of readers.

Most of the sentences in "Zengguang" come from a collection of classics and history, poems, lyrics, dramas, novels, and literati's miscellaneous notes. Its ideas and concepts come directly or indirectly from the classics of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In a broad sense, It is a popular version of the "Sutra" that is both refined and popular. You can read it without explanation, and you can also understand the thoughts and life wisdom of the scriptures by reading "Zengguang". Zengguang Xianwen is also a collection of proverbs.
