How many kinds of kennels are commonly used?

The classification of kennels is usually based on the number and use of dogs living in them. Generally speaking, kennels are divided into the following five types:

(1) kennels. That is, 1 kennel keeps several dogs at the same time. This method is mainly suitable for raising puppies, breeding dogs and commercial dogs, and generally 7 ~ 8 dogs are appropriate. The living room area of this kennel should be more than 6 square meters, and the affiliated sports ground should not be less than 9 square meters. The advantage of group kennels is that they are large, giving dogs more space, getting adequate exercise, facilitating management and saving manpower, material resources and financial resources. Its main disadvantages are that it is not conducive to the control of infectious diseases, it is difficult to feed quantitatively, and it is easy to bite, causing casualties.

(2) training kennels. This is a single kennel for training. The use area of this kennel is generally 10 ~ 12 square meters, and the height is not less than 2.2 square meters, in which the living room for dogs is 4 square meters, the playground is not less than 6 square meters, and the partition wall of the playground is not less than 1.8 square meters. In order to save raw materials, several training kennels can be built together, generally 6 ~ 12 as a group. Although the cost of a single kennel is high, it is beneficial to prevent epidemic diseases and facilitate feeding and management.

(3) Breeding kennels. This kennel is bigger than the training kennel. According to different regions and seasons, there are nursing staff quarters, lighting equipment and heating equipment. The breeding dog delivery room area is not less than 6 square meters, and the attached sports ground is not less than 10 square meter, which is used to accommodate puppies for free activities.

(4) move the kennel. This kennel is mainly used for dogs for temporary training or mission. It is flexible, convenient and practical. The movable kennel is relatively light and simple, and can be made of wood, bamboo, steel, hard plastic and other materials, and can be disassembled, transported and temporarily assembled. This kennel is only for 1 dog to live and rest, and its area is small. Usually, the living room of dogs is 1.5 square meters, and the activities are all 4 ~ 6 square meters. The smallest one is 1.2m long, and its width and height are 1m respectively. Movable kennels should be wind-proof, rain-proof, moisture-proof and heat-proof.

(5) isolate the kennel. This kennel only accommodates sick dogs with infectious diseases. Its size is the same as the training kennel, but it should be built in the downwind of a healthy kennel and as far away from the training kennel and breeding kennel as possible to prevent the spread of the disease.
