Gulangyu Island in Xiamen has also become popular inexplicably. As a layman, I can’t help but go there and take a look. The moment I landed on the island, I felt it was bland and boring. Not to mention the dirty water, the so-called 5A scenic spot was just a bare statue of Zheng Chenggong, with nothing to see. The food on the island was extremely expensive and unpalatable. In the end, my best friend and I spent the two days and one night on Gulangyu by eating instant noodles. The so-called characteristic buildings are really not distinctive. They are all over the streets in Xiamen. I have been to this kind of scenic spot once and will never go there a second time.

The one-day cruise trip to Sanya was also a scam. When I bought the ticket, it was said that the items on board were fishing, diving and self-service hot pot. After finally waiting for everyone to get on the boat and sit down, the boatman didn't just start the boat, but instead gave a speech to sell things. After he sold out, the boat finally sailed, and we started to feel happy.

Unexpectedly, the ship left the port and continued sailing for five minutes before stopping. Yes, it was only five minutes. The water was still very turbid and black, and then it stopped there. What about going to sea as promised?

It was not until two hours later that the boatman said that if you wanted to fish in the sea, you should go and get a fishing rod from him, and you would pay for the bait and other things at your own expense. What about the sea fishing you promised? Then there was the diving. The wetsuit was in tatters and the mouthpiece had to be purchased separately. It was 20 yuan a piece and was too expensive. What was terrible was that these self-funded items were not stated in the ticket purchase instructions. Let’s talk about Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, which is a lake. To be honest, the lake is quite clean and clear. Just take that yacht, which costs NT$600 per person. It just takes you from Pier A to Pier B to Pier C to Pier A. That’s it. Talking about taking a few laps around the lake, the scenic spots on the shore are lackluster. The sad thing is that every time you go ashore, you have to queue up to get on the boat. All your time is spent queuing up, and some people don't go ashore and just spend the whole day wandering around the lake haha.

Besides taking the yacht, there was nothing else. The snacks in the restaurants on the shore were expensive and terrible. We stayed there for two hours and then ran away. Nowadays, many tourist attractions in China, especially the so-called popular attractions, 4A, 5A and so on are just gimmicks, very fake, and they even trick you without any negotiation. If you want to truly enjoy the game, you must do your homework before setting off.
