What kind of stones are collectible?

It depends on what kind of stones you want to collect. But in general, there are two types:

1, gem. Its value is determined by its scarcity or the difficulty of its formation. Western countries admire diamonds, rubies, sapphires, tourmalines, tanzanite and opal, which have sprung up in recent years, while we orientals admire Tianhuang, Emerald, Bloodstone, Hetian Jade and Southern Red Agate. Of course, there are also new meteorite collections, but not all meteorites are of high value, depending on the main content, some are hundreds of millions of grams, and some are only tens of dollars a catty, all because of their scarcity or uniqueness of origin (Tanzanite is only produced in Tanzania, and the heart of Titanic is Tanzanite; The main producing area of jadeite is Myanmar, which determines its value. As the saying goes, things are rare.

2. Strange stones. The strange stone is unique. Every stone must be a natural stone without any artificial carving or intervention. When such stones are picked up, they will never be exactly the same. The collection of strange stones belongs to the partial category. However, as people have more spare money in recent years, more and more people begin to pay attention to and collect strange stones. The most famous agate is Alashan agate named "Chickens Hatched", which is the size of an egg and sells for1.700 million yuan. I have also collected some strange stones, and I will share them with you today, because Alashan and the Gobi Desert near the ghost town of Wuerhe in Xinjiang have created a series of strange stones, which have experienced hundreds of millions of years of wind and sun, and finally formed today's form:

These two on the left are covered eyes, and the shape on the left is a natural animal; The middle is a typical eye stone, and the middle is an eye; This is the meridian stone on the right. Does it look like plum blossom?

The picture above may not be very clear. Here are two series that I am proud of:

Does it look like a goldfish? Without alkali, there is alkali naturally.

This is also the meridian stone. I don't need to say anything like that.

Let's talk about value first:

1. Gemstone: There is a measure of the value of a gem. For example, diamonds are measured by carats, and their value is determined by the number of carats, cutting, clarity and color. Some associations will publish evaluation values, so basically mastering these conditions can infer the value of gems. Of course, because of diamonds, rubies, sapphires, tanzanites and so on. It is more difficult to meet and more scarce. The more carats there are, the more the price may double. If one carat of tanzanite costs 2,000 yuan, five carats of tanzanite may be around 20,000 yuan. Color has a great influence on some precious stones, such as jadeite. Of course, the value of green is very high. The diamonds we often see are transparent and translucent, and the pink diamond of the same carat is more valuable.

2. Strange stones: There is no fixed measure, because each strange stone is unique and natural, and its value is influenced by its size, the scarcity of stones (here refers to the types of stones), shape or pattern. Of course, the most authoritative is the shape or pattern. Take my peanuts as an example. I received 150 yuan and paid 1000 yuan. Because just this piece (not excluding similar stones), you are willing to pay if you like it, and you may feel expensive if you don't like it. There are also some strange stone lovers with good things hidden in their hands. You may not want to give them a million dollars. This is because strange stones are hard to meet, and meeting is fate.

Personally, if it is purely for investment, you should choose precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies and sapphires, because their value can be judged and accepted by the public. If you ask me what precious stones to invest in, I suggest tanzanite as the first choice. The number of carats above 4 carats is relatively rare. In recent years, the increase of this large carat is about 50%/ year. If you are a Tibetan friend like me, I suggest playing with strange stones, but don't think about getting rich or paying back money, because its value is determined by the psychology of Tibetan friends. What you think is good is worth millions, but it's not good. After spending 100, it may not even sell 10.

There is another investment method that can also be referenced. Take South Red Agate as an example: Now South Red Agate was discovered in 2009. Eight years later, everyone saw the price. At the beginning, it was only a few dollars a catty, but now it costs hundreds of thousands of grams of good materials. This kind of investment is to choose some new varieties of jade or agate, such as Hunan Xianghuayu (a branch of Hetian jade) just discovered in May this year or purple-green agate that has emerged in recent two years. These only accept the original stone, because the sculptor is too expensive, much higher than the original stone, and it is not worth carving. When the market is recognized and the value is high, then choose whether to carve or sell the original stone. Some carvings are really cheap, but they are all rough carvings and have no collection value. It is best not to carve, at least to preserve the value, so that a good sculptor can add value. Now it mainly collects purple-green agate and golden frost jade (only produced in Shimen Town and Shipo Town, Luonan County, Shaanxi Province). I can share my purple-green agate and golden frost jade with you:

There are purple-green agate rough stones on both sides and gold paste jade rough stones in the middle, each piece is about 120 Jin, and all kinds of materials are available. You can look at the finished pictures online. They are beautiful.

This is a recent photo. Doesn't it look good? The original stone, that's it. Let's see what the finished product looks like:

This is the finished product, so I won't say whether it is beautiful or not. Sculptors belong to Soviet workers, and works with ordinary craftsmanship can't be moved, because people don't see how much you pay for carving, but whether your materials are good or not.

Finally, once again, if you are collecting rough stones, you must collect materials and fine materials. If you don't know what excellent material is, then read more and learn more. Take more materials slowly and you will know what good materials are. . . Only good materials can have geometric appreciation space. For example, Nanhong still has a few yuan or a dozen yuan a gram of material; For example, Hetian jade also spent 65,438+10,000 yuan to buy jade, preferring 65,438+10,000 yuan to buy a suet jade rather than 10 shares to buy 10 pieces.

There is a lot to talk about today, I hope I can help the landlord, and pay attention to your hiding the boutique ~ remember to share it.
